A look at six NKYVC 16 Thunder players on the rise follows.
Camille Lowe is a sophomore middle hitter/right side hitter from Holy Cross High School (Covington). Lowe provides a strong presence along the middle of the net and blocks consistently. Agile, Lowe moves well from side to side.
Carly Nehus is a sophomore outside hitter/defensive specialist from Conner High School. Versatile, Nehus can produce offensively and defensively. Nehus adjusts well to sets coming from any location and delivers defensively.
Lucy Simons is a sophomore outside hitter/right side hitter from Newport Central Catholic High School. Simons elevates well at the net and is a reliable hitter. Athletic, Simons completes attack hits regularly.
Penelope Stacy is a sophomore outside hitter/right side hitter from Campbell County High School. Stacy can deliver as both a go-to hitter and a primary passer. Able to hit from either side, Stacy reads opposing defenses accurately.
Merisa Workman is a sophomore right side hitter/outside hitter from Ryle High School. Able to hit from both the front row and the back row, Workman makes an impact in multiple categories. Athletic, Workman possesses solid jumping ability.
Luci Wurtz is a sophomore right side hitter/outside hitter from Holy Cross High School (Covington). Wurtz has displayed the ability to thrive as a hitter from both the front row and the back row. In addition, Wurtz digs for quick attacks regularly.
