Some of the best up-and-coming talent from the midwest have come together for one epic event taking place in Michigan.
Here are some of the big performers from day 1.
Eve Clark – OH – Rock City
If the ceilings were any lower, this leaper would’ve broken through! Eve Clark is a high flying, athletic outside that brings a lot of power to Rock City, towering over the blocks when in flight.
Skylar Toth – OH – Rock City
Opposite of Clark, Skylar Toth is Rock City’s complete package that can do just about anything. A big role player in the back row and a consistent force at the net. Toth was a dangerous player to contend with on Day 1.
Rebekah Williams – OH – Mintonette
Another impressive outside from Day 1, Mintonette has their own big time attacker in Rebekah Williams. One of the more prolific scorers of the day, Williams has a beautiful array of shots at the net and on the back line, serves up a dangerous floater.
Lauren Tyrpak Lauren Tyrpak 5'11" | OH Hathaway Brown | 2024 State OH – OH – AVC
A top performer from Day 1, Lauren Tyrpak Lauren Tyrpak 5'11" | OH Hathaway Brown | 2024 State OH was unstoppable. En route to a 3-0 day, Tyrpak was a huge reason for this. With a great approach and high contact, she was often times untouched by the block and scored at a high rate.
Gracelyn Skupski – OPP – AVC
Right alongside Tyrpak was lefty opposite, Gracelyn Skupski. Like her teammate, Skupski has a nice high reach on the ball that combined with her left-handed attack was troublesome for opponents.
Morgan Ross – L – Rock City
Another top performer from Day 1, Morgan Ross could be easily described as the heart beat to this squad. A player very mobile in her movements and a great read on the game, she wasn’t letting much drop on her side. Not to mention, her comfortability setting with hands on the second ball.
Caroline Schiele – L – Mintonette
I love seeing ‘bros making significant impacts on their teams and Caroline Schiele is that kind of player. She has a great track of the ball with a smooth and steady platform that was money in serve receive.
Helaina Edgar – S – Rock City
I really enjoyed watching this setter throughout the opening day of The Finale. Helaina Edgar is so smooth in her movement and quite deceptive with her sets. She is unafraid to run a variety of routes and spread the ball around.
