Continue ReadingWe have been watching the 2023 class very closely throughout the entire club season and used the data of wins and losses, stats, awards, in person tournaments, matches and of course the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to our prestigious State Rankings through their play on the court. Please welcome them with open arms.
Zoe Rachow Zoe Rachow 5'11" | S Otay Ranch | 2023 State #141 Nation CA [2023] 5-10 Setter (HS: Otay Ranch/Club: Coast/Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are happy to announce that Miss Rachow has officially made it to the State Rankings. Zoe is currently ranked as the 4th best overall prospect and best setter in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays at Otay Ranch High School and for Coast Volleyball. I wrote an article on her a few months ago and here is what I wrote, “This young lady was extremely impressive in her physical abilities as a setter. She moved the ball around so fluidly to balance out the offense and was equally a threat out of right back digging and keeping her team in each rally. Her serve was tough and she kept the opposition out of system quite a bit. But what stood out the most to me while I watched them compete all throughout the four days was her on court leadership. She did not let anything take her out of the competitive zone to lead her team to victory against the best that the nation had to offer. She is the real deal as a setter and if you have not seen her play, you need to.” I took a long hard look at all of the setters in this class and Zoe kept making her way to the top of the list in almost every category. She is extremely fundamentally sound and very powerful to push the ball with ease to any location from anywhere on the court. She has sniper abilities with the ball and is pinpoint accurate. Please help us congratulate her on the wonderful achievement of being named one of the state’s best volleyball players.
Olivia Babcock Olivia Babcock 6'3" | OH Sierra Canyon | 2023 State #13 Nation CA [2023] 6-3 Outside/Right Side (HS: Sierra Canyon/Club: Sunshine/Verbal: University of Pittsburgh)
Olivia is currently ranked as the 27th best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig National Rankings. She is also currently ranked as the 5th best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays at Sierra Canyon High School and also club for the amazing Sunshine volleyball program. We wrote an article on her squad a few months ago and here is what we stated about her, “This multi-sport athlete is a game changer for any team she plays for. In club, when I watched her play this season she was a stud on the right side. She is able to score in any position you put her in. Sunshine fed her the ball over and over in the match I watched. It was very apparent why…this young lady is a flat out stud. She scored both from designed play-sets out of the back row and from both pins in the front row. She is very dynamic from the service line also as she stifled top ranked Circle City for a few aces. The University of Pittsburgh commit will dazzle any spectator. We will have more on Miss Babcock when we watch her team compete in Indy at nationals this summer.” I watched her torch teams at nationals in Indy and it was super fun to watch. Her athleticism was on full display for the entire four days. We are going to love covering her for one more senior season. Stay tuned for more on Miss Babcock. Please help us congratulate her on the wonderful achievement of being named one of the state’s best volleyball players.
Noemie Glover Noemie Glover 6'1" | RS Cathedral Catholic | 2023 State #128 Nation CA [2023] 6-1 Right Side (HS: Cathedral Catholic/Club: Coast/Verbal: Oregon)
Noemie is currently ranked as the 6th best overall prospect and best right side in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays at Cathedral Catholic High School and also club for the amazing Coast program. I wrote an article previously on Miss Glover and here is a little of what was said, “The powerful lefty was fantastic in the championship match versus Drive Nation. She scored one of the matches first kills in outstanding fashion and had my attention for sure. I love how she uses every muscle in her body to gain momentum in her approach. She has a big upswing and it helps add so much power into both her approach and down swing on the ball. Each kill that she had in the Red Rock Vegas qualifier was electrifying. She did a fantastic job serving and playing back row in right back also. There were a few times when Coast delivered the ball to her on purpose in the back row. The Oregon commit is fun to watch and we will have more on her at nationals. It sure was fun to watch her in person competing against the best in the nation. She did not disappoint in showcasing her abilities at the net. She has a golden left arm that was used to balance out Coast’s fantastic arsenal all tournament long. This kiddo is special and will do great things at Oregon in a few years. We look forward to watching her during her senior high school season.” She was a no brainer to put on the State Rankings list as she is very dynamic on the court. Her blocking and attacking is at an elite level and she will showcase them for one more season in high school and we could not be more proud to cover her. Please help us congratulate her on the wonderful achievement of being named one of the state’s best volleyball players.
