Brown delivered a career high 20 kills in Danbury’s 3-1 win over Old Fort. She averaged 5.0 kills per set while hitting at a .239 efficiency. She surpassed the mark of 80 kills on the season and is averaging 3.1 kills per set over their first eight matches. Danbury improved to 6-2 overall as Brown is the Lakers’ top offensive threat.
Annie Fincham – Kenton Ridge
The Cougars improved to 5-1 behind the team high 15 kills from Fincham. Just a freshman, she hit well with an efficiency of .387. She is currently averaging 2.5 kills per set for second on the team in offensive production.
Madison Miner – Perry
The Pirates of Perry claimed a close 3-2 win over Geneva and were led by the 19 kills from the sophomore Miner. This was a career high for Miner who now has 225 total career kills just a few matches into her second season. Perry is off to an unbeaten start at 4-0 as Miner is the team’s biggest offensive threat as she can be effective through a variety of attack points.
Brooke Bossert – Adena
Adena defeated Zane Trace 3-1 with a big defensive effort as a team. Bossert was the team leader in the match with 25 total digs. The junior is 10 digs shy of matching her full season output in 2021 as she is averaging 15.8 digs per match in the early 2022 season. The Warriors are a perfect 8-0 on the season as Bossert is the team leader in the back row as well as from the service line as she has applied the most pressure on opponents with 15 total aces.
Anna Laczo – Woodridge
Outside hitter Laczo led Woodridge with 18 kills as they defeated Cloverleaf 3-1. The 5’9 senior was efficient as she hit .244 while also contributing 15 digs on the evening. The lefty has a career average of 4.0 kills per set as she sees a high volume of work at both pins and from the back row. The Bulldogs are 6-3 overall with Laczo their offensive leader.
Emily Klopp – Mohawk
With a match high 21 kills, Klopp was an offensive force in the Warriors’ 3-2 win over Wynford. Mohawk remains unbeaten at 7-0 as the 6’3 middle is averaging nearly five kills per set while hitting .427 on the season. She terminated 338 kills in 2021 and is on track for a similar output this season. She has good length and swings with an aggressive arm of which has amounted to double-figure terminations in each match so far this season.
