With over 600 assists so far this season, Taylor is a key reason for Swanton’s success as they are currently 16-2 overall. She is averaging 10.2 assists per set and delivers good tempo and location with high hands and quality touch to put her hitters in a good position to score. She is also among team leaders defensively at nine digs per match.
Lauren Pickett – Milford
At the helm of Milford’s offense for two years now, Pickett is playing some of her best ball and her team is benefitting from her floor leadership and distribution. She is averaging a career high 9.7 assists per set having eclipsed the 1,000 assists mark for her career earlier this season. Her movement and quickness are a key asset to her ability to get to the ball on balance and deliver all tempos and locations, which allows their middle strength to score through a variety of options. Milford is currently in second place in the ECC standings.
Jadine Mills – Cardington-Lincoln
Recently surpassing 1,500 assists for her career, Mills has been the Pirates’ floor leader for two seasons. They are currently 8-0 in league play and look to repeat as champions of the Knox Morrow conference. Averaging a career high 11.4 assists per set, Mills is likely to improve upon her 2nd team all-conference honors from 2021.
Caitlin Young – Bloom-Carroll
At a career high 11.1 assists per set, Young and the Bulldogs are a high potential offense as they collectively terminate 13.1 kills per set while hitting at a .267 efficiency. She should soon reach the 2,000 assists mark for her career. She puts up a good ball and distributes opportunities evenly as four of her attackers are averaging between 2.4 and 2.9 kills per set. The Bulldogs are currently 14-2 overall.
Ella Jefferis – Meadowbrook
Jefferis has been a key factor for the Colts throughout her entire prep career. She is approaching 2,800 assists for her career at the midpoint of 2022 and is averaging a career high 10.1 assists per set for a Meadowbrook team that is 14-2 overall and undefeated and atop the Muskingum Valley conference standings at 11-0. At over 12 kills per set, Jefferis distributes an offense that collectively is hitting .308 on the season.
