Maybe not the most productive sophomores in the region, multiple players from the Class of 2025 are gaining momentum.
A look at five 2025 Region 8 players on the rise follows.
Anna Benecke
Anna Benecke
Anna Benecke is a sophomore outside hitter for Trimble County High School. Benecke elevates well at the net and adjusts to sets coming from any location. Able to deliver as both a hitter and a passer, Benecke possesses solid back row skills.
Abby Knarr
Abby Knarr
Abby Knarr is a sophomore middle blocker for Williamstown High School. Agile, Knarr moves well from side to side and blocks consistently. Knarr executes fast attacks regularly and reads the setter accurately.
Bella O’Brien
Bella O’Brien
Bella O’Brien is a sophomore middle blocker/outside hitter for Walton-Verona High School. A reliable blocker and hitter, O’Brien reads the opponent’s hitters to set up blocks consistently. O’Brien can produce from both the front row and the back row.
Claire Ramsey

Claire Ramsey is a sophomore outside hitter for Henry County High School. Ramsey can hit reliably from both the front row and the back row. A player with solid jumping ability, Ramsey completes attack hits regularly.
