We didn’t see as many young contributors as we did in other divisions. The runner-up, Athens, relied all on juniors and seniors.
However, the other three teams still had some make contributions that will go a long way in their development in years to come.
MP Sacred Heart
Sophie Hauck, Soph. S: Hauck was one of two setters utilized by the Irish. In the final, she had 24 assists to go with 10 digs, two aces, two kills and four assisted blocks. In the semifinal, Hauck had 19 assists, six digs, two kills and two assisted blocks for the Irish.
Chelsea Lynch, Soph. OH: Lynch was part of the offensive rotation, getting a number of swings in Battle Creek. In the final, Lynch had six kills to go with 13 digs and an ace. The semifinal saw Lynch record five kills, 11 digs and two aces.
Lansing Christian
Lydia Brogan, Soph. MH: Brogan got in on the offensive action for the Pilgrims, putting down three kills in the semifinal with Athens.
Crystal Falls Forest Park
Ava Fischer, Fr. OH: Fischer has a bright future ahead. She was a solid finisher at the net with five kills in the semifinal. She also added four digs on defense.
Audrey Franz, Soph. MH: Franz was able to help Forest Park in a number of areas. She had nine digs and two assists while getting some touches on Sacred Heart attacks.
Elise Williams, Fr. OH/S: Williams saw action in a pair of sets in the semifinal and recorded three digs for the Trojans.
