This writer is responsible for Class 3 through 5 postings and doing something different this round. Today we highlight the 9th and 10th graders in these classes. Congratulations to all of these ladies.
Raylee Stenzel Raylee Stenzel 5'11" | OH Mountain Grove | 2025 State MO – 2025 – Mountain Grove
The 5’9″ Stenzel saw her production increase even more in 2022 after jumping on the scene with a strong debut season. She averaged over 5 kills per set this fall, tallying 465 on the year. Her production helped lead Moutain Grove to the sectional round in class 3. She added over 300 digs for good measure.
Cheyenne Bieber – 2025 – Mt. Vernon
How about 94 kills in 2021 then 366 in 2022 for the All-State honoree? She became the go-to player for Mt. Vernon this fall behind her offensive output.
Rylee Adams Rylee Adams 5'8" | OH Odessa | 2025 State MO – 2025 – Odessa
Odessa was one set short of advancing to the final four, dropping a five-set heartbreaker to Pleasant Hill and they wouldn’t have gotten that far without the play of Adams. The 5’8″ front-row player led the team in kills with 260 kills.
Kylee Richey – 2025 – Versailles
The Tigers had Richey do many things well this fall on the way to a 22-win campaign. She had a season for the ages with these numbers: 506 kills, .340 hitting percentage, 111 Blocks, and 305 Digs. Yes, she earned this honor without a doubt.
Bella Scherfenberg – 2026 – Belton
One of three freshmen to earn all-state honors, Scherfenberg made her mark early for Belton playing all six rotations. She totaled 456 kills on the year with a kill percentage over 50%. She displayed an aggressive jump serve that netted just under 100 aces on the year.
Tara Greenberry Tara Greenberry 6'3" | MB Incarnate Word | 2025 State #117 Nation MO – 2025 – Incarnate Word Academy
The state runner-ups had Greenberry to lead the charge in 2022, so don’t be surprised if they are back in 2023. The 6’3″ phenom dropped 550 kills while hitting just under .400 on the season. She saw her front-row presence increase this year with 87 total blocks.
Karlee Riggs Karlee Riggs 5'11" | RS Platte County | 2025 State MO – 2025 – Platte County
Riggs had a breakout sophomore campaign helping Platte County get back to the final four. As a freshman, she had 17 kills in limited action and made her presence felt in her second year finishing second on the team in kills with 265
Addi MacLean Addi MacLean 5'11" | S St. Michael The Archangel | 2026 State MO – 2026 – St. Michael the Archangel
The freshman helped get St. Michael to the quarterfinal round this year behind her tremendous play from the setter position. She dished 877 assists in her first season for the green and white. She was also solid defensively with over 100 digs.
Bennett Raterman Bennett Raterman 6'4" | MB St. Pius X (Festus) | 2026 State MO – 2026 – St. Pius X (Festus)
Pius (Festus) made a quarterfinal appearance this fall after Raterman showed she will be a problem for years to come. The 6’3″ middle made use of her height with over 300 kills at a near .400 percentage. She added 49 blocks in her first year.
Hannah Leftridge Hannah Leftridge 5'10" | OH St. Pius X (Festus) | 2025 State MO – 2025 – St. Pius X (Festus)
Leftridge adds her name to the 2022 All-State season after another stellar year. She eclipsed the 300-kill mark for consecutive seasons, getting 339 this fall. She continued to show her defensive improvement with 280 digs.
Maya Witherspoon Maya Witherspoon 5'11" | OH Lafayette | 2025 State #44 Nation MO – 2025 – Lafayette
The champ is here. Witherspoon showed out on their run to the state title and her year gave her all-state honors. The athletic pin was one of four players to earn all-state while leading the team in the kill category.
Abigail Mullen Abigail Mullen 6'3" | RS Liberty | 2025 State #3 Nation MO – 2025 – Liberty
Mullen had another tremendous year and showed her depth playing on both pins and in 6 rotations. She paced the offense with 436 kills in her second season for the Blue Jays. She also added 286 digs.
