There have been some amazing tournaments and great district battles. We have been talking to coaches, reading tons of stats, and getting lots of video submissions from parents and players regarding how everyone has fared over the course of the season. As we are now into the playoffs, we will be discussing some players who are being nominated for our inaugural Prep Dig California All-State Awards. Our end-of-season awards are going to be different because we are going to consider all divisions/conferences together and pick the best of the best. The Outsides we will be discussing have been tearing it up and proving themselves all season long with some amazing statistics. Let’s meet some of the nominees:
Lauren Gonzalez [2025] 5-11 Outside (HS: Golden Valley/ Verbal: Uncommitted)
Lauren is currently an unranked prospect in the Prep Dig California State Rankings for the class of 2025, but that is only because we have not released them yet. She plays at Golden Valley High School. She has been dominant for them this season as she has stepped into a major role in their offense. Last year as a freshman she played in 74 sets and had a wonderful role as an attacker tallying 154 kills. This season she dwarfed that total and currently has 445 kills on a massive .347 hitting percentage. She has let it be known that it is her team now. They will go as far as her attacking arm will take them. She has improved in every statistical category from last year and that should scare all opponents quite a bit. For instance she has 21 total blocks, 266 digs out of the back row and also added 61 aces on the year. She is a true all around athlete that has been unstoppable this year for her varsity squad. We are very proud to announce that she is a nominee for one of our All-State Awards. Stay tuned to see who will win.
Jadyn Hoffman [2025] 6-0 Outside (HS: East Nicolaus/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Jadyn is currently an unranked prospect in the Prep Dig California State Rankings for the class of 2025, but that is only because we have not released them yet. She plays at East Nicolaus High School. Even as only a sophomore, she has been named captain and has led the team to a wonderful 21-4 overall record and also an impressive 13-1 conference record. She leads the team in almost every single statistical category except for assists and blocks. This kind of overall play lets us know that she is a force to be reckoned with in her grad class in the state of California. She is a true six-rotation player who also excels in the back row for her squad. But her bread and butter is her offensive arsenal. She has tallied 492 kills on a whopping .343 hitting percentage. She is super efficient and picks her placement very well on the offensive end. This is why her kill total has doubled from last year to this year. She has also managed to tally 200 digs and 95 aces which has helped her varsity squad be ultra competitive this season. Her overall production on the court is the main reason why she has been selected as a nominee for an All-State Award. Please congratulate her on the honor.
Maddie Feramisco [2025] 5-8 Outside/Right Side (HS: Clovis East/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Maddie is currently an unranked prospect in the 2025 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but that is because we have not released them yet. She plays at Clovis East High School. She has tallied 431 kills on a fantastic .269 hitting percentage. She also has 41 total blocks, 371 digs and 64 aces. Miss Feramisco also stars on the beach. This dual sport athlete has solid ball control on both sides of the ball due to playing beach volleyball. She is able to place the ball anywhere she wants to with great platform work and solid hand contact. Most don’t understand how different the two sports are. It takes a special talent to be able to switch from beach to indoor and excel in both. Maddie is one of those special players who is able to do that. Due to her versatility and ability to lead her team in every ball control category, we have decided to select her as a nominee for an All-State Award. We think she is a great example of how hard work certainly pays off on the court.
There are many more amazing players that will be nominated. Stay tuned for more articles on your favorite athletes to see who ends up with a chance at one of the prestigious awards.
