There have been some amazing tournaments and great district battles. We have been talking to coaches, reading tons of stats, and getting lots of video submissions from parents and players regarding how everyone has fared over the course of the season. As we are now into the playoffs, we will be discussing some players who are being nominated for our inaugural Prep Dig California All-State Awards. Our end-of-season awards are going to be different because we are going to consider all divisions/conferences together and pick the best of the best. The Liberos we will be discussing have been tearing it up and proving themselves all season long with some amazing statistics. Let’s meet some of the nominees:
Kaylee Noa [2025] 5-3 Libero (HS: El Camino/Club: SoCal Volleyball Club/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Kaylee is currently an unranked prospect in the Prep Dig California State Rankings for the class of 2025, but that is only because we have not released them yet. She plays at El Camino High School and also club for SoCal Volleyball Club. In her second season on varsity she has really stepped up her game from her freshman season. She has tallied the most digs amongst all sophomore liberos in the state of California. She had 523 digs total which is super impressive. Her quickness was on full display all year long as she patrolled the back row very well. She broke a school record for digs in a match with 43. El Camino HS has a real star on the rise in Miss Noa for the next few years. We are proud to announce that she is a nominee for one of our All-State Awards. Stay tuned to see if she wins.
Lauren Lynch [2025] 5-6 Libero (HS: Sierra Canyon/Club: San Gabriel Elite/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Lauren is currently an unranked prospect in the Prep Dig California State Rankings for the class of 2025, but that is only because we have not released them yet. She plays at Sierra Canyon High School and also club for San Gabriel Elite. Her stats are very impressive as she has tallied 456 digs this year and 527 service receptions. This young dynamo was in double digit digs in every single match she played in. Her ball control allowed Sierra Canyon to be in contention all year long. What I love about her abilities are how she take both arms to the ball instead of just throwing one arm out. This will help keep her platform very solid for the foreseeable future. She also has such a soft natural touch on the ball during hard driven balls. This makes it a lot easier to deliver a settable ball to her setter. I am very impressed with what I see in Miss Lynch and am proud to announce that she has earned a nomination for one of our All-State awards. Please help us congratulate her.
Gabriella Cascione Gabriella Cascione 5'8" | DS/L Saugus | 2025 State CA [2025] 5-8 Libero (HS: Saugus/Club: Legacy Elite/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Gabriella is currently an unranked prospect in the 2025 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings, but that is because we have not released them yet. She plays at Saugus High School and has played club volleyball for Legacy Elite in the past. This year she tallied 416 digs in her second season on varsity as a libero which was super impressive. It was also super impressive on how she covered all of her hitters so well. The ball hardly ever fell on their side when it was near her zone. She always keeps her head on a swivel and eyes on the prize to put herself in the best position to play the ball. She truly earned a nomination with her overall level of play this season. Please congratulate her on the nomination for an All-State Award from our publication.
There are many more amazing players that will be nominated. Stay tuned for more articles on your favorite athletes to see who ends up with a chance at one of the prestigious awards.
