Here is the first of four scouting reports from the Sunflower AM Wave action in Lawrence.
Isabella Steggs, 5’10”, MH/RS, Lyndon, ‘25
Steggs led the Emporia squad with seven kills in the 25-10, 25-10 victory. She is tall and a solid hitter. The Lyndon Tiger also added three digs in the contest. She has two years of high school to continue to develop.
Bella Hobbs, 5’0”, L, Lyndon, ‘25
Hobbs is a spunky libero and solid passer. The Lyndon product had 13 digs and two serve receptions against the Attack. She has a solid serve and will be a player to keep an eye on in Class 2A as Lyndon looks to improve on a 14-18 record in 2022.
Adaline Bloomfield, 5’6”, OH, Mission Valley, ‘25
Bloomfield has solid skills and could be a six-rotation player. She finished with five kills, seven digs, and three serve receptions in the first match of the day. Bloomfield collected 255 kills during her sophomore season for Mission Valley. It is way too early to project, however, Bloomfield looks like a Division II or NAIA-level talent.
