Prep Dig Kansas scouted the Elite’s first match of the second day a two-set victory over the KC Fire 18-1 team, 25-10, 25-15.
Here is the first of multiple scouting reports from the 18-year-old combined division. The 18s played at the Wichita Hoops facility in Bel Aire.
The team was missing multiple players due to illness and spent the second day of action with multiple players playing out of rotation. Several players on the squad have already committed to college programs and others are still looking for offers.
Bella Lott, 5’11”, MH, Marysville, ‘23
The heavy hitter in the Elite’s first win in Sunday action was Marysville’s Bella Lott. She had nine kills and five blocks. In her senior season at Marysville Lott finished with 344 kills and 82 blocks. She primarily plays just on the front line and is committed to playing at Johnson County Community College.
Alysa Landon, 5’7”, OH, Royal Valley, ‘23
Landon stepped up on Sunday and provided solid offense and defense. She had two kills, five digs, and three serve receptions. During her senior season at Royal Valley, she racked up 255 kills and 354 digs. She is still uncommitted.
Shianne Cobb, S/RS, 5’7”, Washburn Rural, ‘23
Washburn Rural’s Shianne Cobb, can set and hit and was a player who moved on Sunday due to missing parts. She had two kills, two digs, and three aces. She has a solid serve and could help add depth and leadership to a community college program.
Royal Valley’s Kennedy Bryan (Baker), and Hiawatha’s Josie Delaney (Iowa Central) are two other Topeka Elite players who have signed to continue their volleyball careers collegiately.
