Prep Dig Kansas was in attendance to scout the gritty group from Southwest Kansas and they did not disappoint. Two prospects from Ingalls High School had solid performances for the team that finished with a 2-5 match record in the two-day tournament.
Here is the fourth scouting report from the 17-combined division which was played at Wichita Hoops in Bel Aire.
Avery Strecker, 5’8”, OH, Ingalls, ‘24
Strecker has a sweet swing and can jump. She had six kills, five digs, four serve receptions, and two aces in the loss to the North Storm. During her junior season at Ingalls, Strecker finished with 185 kills, and 262 digs. She has another year of growth in club and high school and could turn herself into a solid defensive specialist or a six-rotation player depending on the program.
Anna Schmeeckle, 5’10”, MH, Ingalls, ‘24
Schmeeckle has the size and talent to be a legitimate college prospect. She had seven kills and two blocks in the early tournament loss. Schmeeckle had 67 total blocks and 73 kills as a junior at Ingalls. She most likely projects as a front-row-only player. She plays with energy and composure in high-stress situations.
Katlynn Rice, 5’10”, OH, Ulysses, ‘24
Rice is a potential six-rotation player at the next level. Rice played on a deep and talented Ulysses club in 2022, so club ball gives her a chance to star. She had seven kills, six digs, and eight serve receptions against North Storm. During her junior season, she had 27 kills, 27 blocks, and 18 digs in limited action.
