Emma Kaveinga (2023) | MB | Beach Cities
An active blocker is certainly needed as offenses run faster tempo sets and Emma Kaveinga plays with excellence of an active mind and body. This makes her a helpful teammate, a trait Kaveinga keeps even when the ball in not in play. She touches a height of the second red on the antenna when blocking and when closing a block to her right side she is great at pressing back to the middle of the court.
Kara Lehmankuhler (2023) | MB | Saddleback
From the time the ball is on the other side to the time of attack, Kara Lehmankuhler has well practiced footwork to transition to hit. This prepares Lehmankuhler enough to keep her feet away from the net to hit high and hard. She is a swing blocker that touches a height of the second white on the antenna.
Nepherteri Collins (2023) | MB | Temecula Viper
Unyielding is something to expect from Nepherteri Collins as she will keep going on her assigned attack route regardless of the pass location. She touches a height of the first red on the antenna when blocking and is excellent at pressing her hands down to ensure the ball should land on the opponent’s side.
Jocelyn Olmstead (2023) | MB | 805 Elite
Jocelyn Olmstead will hit different than most middle hitters in that she faces the setter alternative to an often seen 45-degree angle. She touches a height of the first red on the antenna when blocking. It should be mentioned this height happens because Olmstead really does not allow herself to reach above any height higher than that. She presses over in real time as she gets her hands above the net.
Kerstin Verece (2023) | MB | Elue Athletics
A posture that is slightly further away from the net to start gives Kerstin Verece space to be ready for an overpass or stay up to speed with an outside blocker. During out-of-system offense, Verece is looking. Her setter runs double quicks and she also runs a spot three.
Chloe Honsa (2023) | MB | Hanai
A split step before her approach seems to create a go, go, go mentality for Chloe Honsa. That must build energy that she transfers into her near-10-foot line attacks! Often found bounding complementary to a kangaroo when the set goes to an outside, Honsa has eagerness that makes a setter have more options.
