National
Rockwood Thunder 18 Elite was strong as expected over the first two days of pool play. They dropped their last match on day one to finish 2-1 and won both the next day to finish second in their pool with a 4-1 record. They would be matched up with San Antonio Juniors in their challenge match but would fall in straight sets.
HPSTL 18 Royal had a third-place showing in their pool with a 3-2 record. They went 3-0 on the first day but couldn’t scratch out a win in their final two matches. They needed to pull out at least one win on the second day to stay in contention but lost to Texas Performance in the challenge match.
USA
The HOA region will have two representatives in the gold bracket. On the Kansas side, Topeka Impact we talked about in a different article. From the Missouri side, Mizuno Club North 18 Sam will try to win a national championship on Sunday. They won their pool with a 4-1 record. Being the top seed, they received the challenge match bye to rest their legs. It was beneficial as they would beat I.C. Stars 18 Mark in two after they played a three-setter. We are hoping for an all-HOA final!
Freedom
Top Notch 18-1, who we missed in our preview said you’ll talk about us today after going 4-1 in pool play to finish second. STATC and 417 Columbia 18-1 had third-place finishes in their respective pools. Top Notch won their first challenge match before falling to Albuquerque Rebels and will compete in Silver Sunday. STATC and 417 would meet the same fate, falling in challenge rounds and will finish the tournament in Bronze.
American
Missouri Jrs. 18-1 fought their way to the challenge rounds to fall in an epic three-set slugfest. They will end their season in Silver B Bracket.
