Open
Mavs KC 18-1 started as the fourth overall seed and dropped their first match on day 1 in three sets to Triangle. They would finish the day 2-1, looking at a day 2 that featured a winless team and a team with a matching record. They would defeat A4 before falling in another three-set battle to Metro. The two teams would finish with the same record but the head-to-head gives Metro the 3rd spot and Mavs the 4th. Mavs would then win their challenge match and will finish the tournament in the Flight bracket.
National
A perfect 5-0 is where KC Power 18 Black stood after two days of pool play, not dropping a set along the way. This put them in a challenge match this evening against local foe PVA 18 Elite, who reach the match after winning their first challenge against Alliance 18 Ren. Power would keep their perfect streak alive in a tightly contested three-set match where Power would win 15-12. Power will be one of eight in the Gold Bracket. PVA will finish their tournament in Silver A.
USA
Topeka Impact 18-1 won their pool going 4-1. Their lone setback was to Missouri team, Pursuit 18 National but they defeated Circle City and gave them their only loss. By winning their pool they earned the benefit of sitting and waiting to see who their opponent would be after the first match of challenge bracket. They would wait and get Skyline 18 Black after a close three-setter. The rest was key as this match would go three and Impact would have enough in their gas to finish it and advance to the Gold Bracket.
Liberty
The first day saw Dynasty 18 Black and Fight Club 18-1 go 3-0 to say in contention going into day two. They duplicated their records on the second day also, going 2-1 and earning second-place finishes in their pools. The mirror would continue as they would both drop their challenge matches in three sets to earn a spot in Silver and could meet in the finals. Mavs KC 18-3 went winless on day one to be knocked out of title contention.
American
Mavs KC 18-2 started off with a bang, going perfect to start the championships. The second day they would go 2-1 which isn’t entirely bad however two other teams went 2-1 and Mavs ended up in the third spot. You can find them in Bronze B on Sunday.
