Ashlyn Victa | 5’2″ | 2025 | L/DS | BAVC
The consistency of performance from Ashlyn Victa to pass on the leftside of her body is impressive. Additionally, she will step up in front of a passer to ensure that happens. She uses a split step before passing and looks comfortable contacting the ball about 15 feet from the net. Victa extends her shoulders while on defense.

is a straight ahead hitter. This is a great way to play. And a great mentality to nurture as the game gets more competitive. Look for her to be ready and available even if that means only making a hop step in transition. Welton gets set a lot in front of the setter. Furthermore, her development will continue by utilizing her best hit which is an antenna height set just behind the setter. She performs her most efficient approach footwork on that set.
Sophia Do Nascimento Vasconscios | 5’1″ | 2024 | OPP/L | Hercules Dynamite
Absorbing the ball on a serve or hit is what Sophia Do Nascimento Vasconcios does well. She pushes the ball up to the target when the opponent serve or hit lacks usual pace. Her feet are often even with each other and her arms move to anything outside her body. Vasconscios waits and makes an explosive move after she reads a play.
Daisy Ekeya | 5’9″ | 2024 | OH/MB | Storm
Hand up fast, wait, hand down fast is one way to describe the powerful hits from Daisy Ekeya. A consistent three step approach provides all the explosiveness she needs to get the ball to the floor quickly. When the set is tight, she hits it down. However, any other set and Ekeya will make the hit fly deeper into the court. She passes by reaching and extending her arms in serve receive. Alternatively, she absorbs a hit with arms closer to her on defense.
Bella Torrero | 5’3″ | 2023 | L | Rise
Court awareness is a strength of Bella Torrero. She hits a standing float serves that goes in two general areas. One, it goes deep. Two, it goes somewhere in the path of a setter. Additionally, her passing form follows two general movements. One, she reaches out to pass the ball. Two, she pulls back her arms after contact. She also makes every effort to keep her body facing toward the court when diving.
Hannah Gilbert | 5’7″ | 2024 | OH/OPP | Empower of Eastvale
A left handed hitter, Hannah Gilbert, usually takes an inside out approach. Consequently, this effective use of time and space makes Gilbert into a natural line hitter. She has a great offspeed hit that includes a lot of spin on the ball. It is fun to watch her when she celebrates as she displays an old school mentality. That is, her cheering appears as if one of her teammates scored the point.
