Here is the first scouting report on six impressive performances by members of the Kansas Classes of 2025 and 2026 during the Stock Up Showcase.
Three of the performances I pretty much expected the other three, however, came from players who surprised me with their talents as I watched them compete for the first time.
Stay tuned for multiple reports over the next three days from this event and the 2027 Freshman Showcase.
Bria Dawson Bria Dawson 6'0" | MB Olathe North | 2025 State KS , 6’0”, MH/OH, Olathe North, ‘25
Dawson put on a hitting clinic during the showcase. She has a huge reach, a sweet swing, and can jump. I knew she could hit coming into the event, but I was impressed by the way she played defense. Dawson is currently ranked No. 31 in the Class of 2025 and there is no reason at all that she should not move up into the Top 20 the next time the rankings are updated.
Campbell Chabot Campbell Chabot 5'6" | S Topeka Seaman | 2025 State KS , 5’6”, Seaman, ‘25
Chabot is just a stud setter, it also did not hurt that she played with Dawson during the event. Chabot can push the ball with accuracy and plays under control. She will be a huge weapon for the Seaman Vikings and did not hurt herself in this showcase at all. She is the fourth-ranked setter in her class and two of those ranked above her have already committed to Division I programs. Chabot is a ca n’t-miss DI or DII setter. She will play club ball with the Topeka Saints.
Suttyn Harris Suttyn Harris 5'11" | MB Inman | 2026 State KS , 5’11”, OH/MH, Inman, ‘26
There is no evidence at all that Harris suffered a knee injury during the club season. She was crushing balls left and right at the Stock Up Showcase. Several people came up to me asking for the identity of player No. 454. That would be Harris. She plays like a Teuton. She is dangerous and a survivor. She can jump out of the building and has an incredible swing. When the Class of 2026 is officially ranked for the first time, Harris should be included in the Top Five if not ranked No. 1.
Kennedy Glasgow Kennedy Glasgow 5'8" | OH Lawrence | 2026 State KS , 5’8”, DS/L, Lawrence, ‘26
My favorite player of the day was Lawrence’s Glasgow. She played with more energy and intensity than any other player at the event. One could tell she knew she had a chance to shine and did she ever. She is a great communicator and was cheering on all participants. Glasgow is the kind of athlete, college programs want to build around. She has championship grit and an infectious personality. The Lawrence prospect should be among the ranked talent in the Class of 2026 when it is taken off “Watch List” status. It was my first time seeing her play and I have been missing out.
Elle Davis, 5’11”, RS/MH, Trinity Academy, ‘25
Davis was a real treat to watch compete. I watched her Hudl highlights before the event, but she was even more impressive in person. She is a high-character player who can be a floor general. She has the ability to post double-doubles in high school. She should rack up a lot of digs and kills. Davis plays club ball with KS Networks. She is currently ranked No. 46 and put in a performance that could see her move into the Top 30 during the next round of rankings.
Katja Blanchat Katja Blanchat 6'0" | MB Smoky Valley | 2025 State KS , 6’0”, MH, Smoky Valley, ‘25
A highly under-ranked talent at the event was Smoky Valley Viking middle hitter Blanchet. She is a super athletic player who can play six rotations. She has a long torso and a huge reach. Her blocking and hitting skills are on point, and she communicates well with other players. She plays on a talented SVHS team with multiple weapons, so she is used to sharing the ball, but I’d like to see her take her game up a notch and become even more aggressive during the 2023 campaign. She is currently ranked No. 34 in the Class of 2025 and will play club ball with KS Networks.
