The latest 2026 Rankings Update is up and live!
Showcasing a lot of movement throughout this class with another year of club season under their belt. Rankings are done with consideration of resumes to date, considerations from coaches across the country that include college and club, as well as college projections.
Let’s take a look at the latest 2026 Rankings update in Michigan. Focusing on the Top Ten!
Top 3
Reigning amongst the top of the first ever rankings release of the 2026 class, we have the big three from Legacy.
Kicking off the list, we have MB Kayla Nwabueze Kayla Nwabueze 6'2" | MB Bloomfield Hills | 2026 State MI (Bloomfield Hills/Legacy). Nwabueze was also just recently named the top rated player nationally by other sites as well. This middle is absolutely treacherous to come in contact with across the net. At such a young age, Nwabueze oozes physicality and an intense IQ. Her net play is phenomenal as one of the top blockers in her class to go along with a wicked arm in front of the setter.
At No. 2, we got a pretty familiar name already, OH Gabby DiVita (Grosse Pt. South/Legacy). DiVita, in her young career, has been named an AAU All-American twice. She’s also a national champion with the class above her, winning 15 Open in 2022. With her own class, she has done similar damage, leading her squad to a third place at AAUs and a top ten finish at USAVs. DiVita has an incredible whip of arm with just about all the shots up her sleeve to wreak havoc on her opponents.
Rounding out the top three, and rounding out the trio of mega guns for Legacy, we have MB Ella Andrews Ella Andrews 6'4" | MB Mercy | 2026 State MI (Mercy/Legacy). Much like her counterpart in the middle, Nwabueze, Andrews is a terror on the net. An incredible sense of IQ at such a young age. Her ability to read the game really takes her a long way. She’s also huge at the net. Standing head and shoulder above most, it does not take much for Andrews to make impact in the match. Andrews was also recently named UA Next MVP at the camp’s Los Angeles stop.
4-7
Kicking off the mid-section to the top ten of the 2026 rankings, we have S/OPP Emma Keeping Emma Keeping 5'11" | S Imlay City | 2026 State MI (Imlay City/Michigan Elite). This is Keeping’s first year playing at a high level in club, and boy, has she made some statements. With Imlay City, she nearly propelled the Spartans to an upset win over perennial power, North Branch as an attacker. With Elite, she dipped her toes in both attacking and setting. The wicked lefty seemingly has the Midas touch on whatever part of the game she plays.
Coming in at No. 5, we have the top libero of the 2026 class, L Meredith Martin Meredith Martin 5'7" | DS/L Marian | 2026 State MI (Orchard Lakes/Legacy). While the big three make quite the splash, none of it would be possible without Martin. Similar to her attacking counterparts, Martin plays well beyond her age suggests. She attacks the game with a lot of fire and grit – a really big piece to being a top tier libero. Martin looks to have an even bigger sophomore year with both Orchard Lakes and Legacy.
We’ve had plenty of representation from the southeast portion of the Mitten. Now, let’s take a look at some of our west side girls!
As top rated player from the Greater Grand Rapids area, we have OH Karis Chatfield Karis Chatfield 5'11" | OH Jenison | 2026 State MI (Jenison/FaR Out). Chatfield was the go-to piece to the puzzle for FaR Out 15 Black this past club season. An imposing presence on the left pin and through the pipe set, Chatfield shows signs to be one of the most imposing attackers of the class. She joins a really enticing Jenison squad this fall. Between the likes of Chatfield and OH Dylann Kelley – beware of what’s to come.
Next up, wrapping up the mid-section of the Top Ten, we have OPP Finley Arp Finley Arp 6'0" | OH South Christian | 2026 State MI (South Christian/FaR Out). Arp had a really eye-popping freshman year. After getting the call up to varsity with Grand Rapids South Christian, Arp became a staple. Right alongside her sister, MB Kennedy Arp (Valparaiso), the two led the Sailors to a Division 2 Final Four in November. With FaR Out, Arp did similar damage on the right side en route to a Top Five finish at AAU Nationals.
8-10
Coming down the stretch now, we have our first sight at Division 3 volleyball with OH Madeline Dettling Madeline Dettling 6'0" | OH SMCC | 2026 State MI (St. Mary’s Catholic Central/Michigan Elite). Dettling had herself a real nice debut to the high school scene last fall. A big role player for the Kestrels, Dettling did just about everything BUT set. Coming into the club season, Dettling had to take some time on the bench to mend an injury sustained from the club season prior. But despite coming into the mid-season, Dettling quickly was back to speed and turned into the go-to for 15 Mizuno.
Back to the mega team of Legacy, we have the player putting it all together, S Eva Long Eva Long 5'9" | S Fenton | 2026 State MI (Fenton/Legacy). When you have attackers as crazy as these ones on your side of the net, it makes your job look pretty easy. Long had a really nice showing during the 2023 club season with Legacy. A player that saw her game jump leaps and bounds, she’s a player to keep on eye on coming into the fall with Fenton.
And last, but not least, at No. 10 we have OH Maggie Szlachcic Maggie Szlachcic 5'11" | OH Hudsonville | 2026 State MI (Hudsonville/FaR Out). Right alongside Chatfield and Arp, Szlachcic creates the perfect trifecta of power on the pins. She’s another player that showcases a really promising career with her play. Szlachcic has the shots, the defense and reception to remain at a real high level. Szlachcic enters the fall after an incredible club season with Hudsonville. A team on the hunt to return to Kellogg Arena after a their appearance in 2021.
