This group has not dropped a single set thus far as their offensive assault has been keeping opponents at bay, which involves an attacking efficiency of .368 as a team. The bulk of their offense and point scoring goes through three arms with a handful of key members being non-seniors. Warren next faces Athens (1-1) at home on Tuesday. Here are some of their top contributors:
Madyson Long

– OH
The junior pin hitter is the Warriors’ top option as she is averaging 5.0 k/s on a .530 efficiency and with a termination rate of 68%. At 5’11, she has a relentless style in her approach work and swing in the air. She can generate good contact point and swings aggressively to get the ball onto the defense in a hurry. She supports the first-touch aspect well with her defense as she has length to cover a lot of court, which is currently producing a team leading 11.7 d/m.
Makenna Long – OH/MH
Another big threat with her arm, the senior Long is providing 4.8 k/s. She has a nose for the ball through a variety of attack points. She is explosive at the end of her approach pattern to get up and take fast swing. Her mobility to swing from anywhere and through varied tempos can make it challenging to track her and get in front of her to slow her down. And, if the block is in place she is not afraid to go right after them with her pace and power. Through nine sets played she has 43 kills and a .356 efficiency.

Starcher is just a sophomore but showing signs of a veteran competitor in her ability to command the ball and swing aggressively. At 6’0, although she has some raw qualities to her game, she has quickness and good lift while matching the aggressiveness with her arm work seen in her fellow point-producing teammates above. Her efficiency is off the charts right now at .733 as she is terminating 80% of her attempts. On the defensive side she is leading her team with 3.3 b/m.
Payge Cornell – S
Cornell is the floor leader as the primary setter for the Warriors. She is contributing some big numbers as part of their highly effective offense in the early season. The 5’1 junior is averaging 13.6 a/s. She is effective at putting up a hittable ball and these attackers do a good job with patience and momentum in their footwork to consistently get big swings.
