The Wildcats swept the Pioneers in three sets.
Here is a look at six prospects who posted solid matches in Topeka.
Bella Reid Bella Reid 5'10" | OH Topeka Hayden | 2025 State KS , 5’6” OH, Hayden, ‘25
Reid is very athletic and can play six rotations. She led all hitters with 13 kills in Hayden’s victory. She also added nine digs and three blocks to her stat sheet. She communicates well with teammates and can be a game-changer. She has lots of volleyball ahead of her, but if she keeps working on her game, I would project her as a Division II-level prospect.
Ella Foster, 5’3”, L, Hayden, ‘26
Foster is a solid libero who has no fear. She reads angles well and gets in front of balls other players might try to play off to the side. Foster had a defensive double-double against the Pioneers with 12 digs and 11 serve receptions. She also has a nice serve that plays at the high school and college level.
Reese Huscher Reese Huscher 5'8" | OH Hayden | 2026 State KS , 5’8” OH, Hayden, ‘26
Huscher impressed me once again. I watched her play in the Tonganoxie tournament and she stepped up once again. She is the best overall jumper the Wildcats have. She can get up and crush a well-set ball. Leavenworth did not have an answer for her when she was hitting in system. Huscher finished with nine kills, 11 digs, and 10 serve receptions and has a college future in volleyball.
Emma Kenny, 5’10”, OH, Leavenworth, ‘24
Kenny is a physical player who plays primary front row. She led Leavenworth with eight kills. She plays with composure and did a solid job of hitting out-of-system balls during long rallies. I would recommend her to NAIA coaches in Kansas.
Eva Clements, 5’10”, MH, Leavenworth, ‘24
Clements is another NAIA-level prospect. Clements also is primarily a front-row-only prospect. She collected five kills in the loss to Hayden.
Amelia Sanderson, 5’4”, L, Leavenworth, ‘27
The player with perhaps the highest ceiling is freshman Sanderson. Starting as a freshman, if she sticks with the game, she could be the program’s all-time dig leader come 2027. Sanderson finished with a double-double for the Pioneers with 16 serve receptions and 14 digs. College scouts and coaches should file away her name for future reference.
