Adriana Dorn | 6’0″ | 2026 | OPP/S | Ripon High School
Starting low, similar to a sprinter in a race, is the beginning of Adriana Dorn’s excellent approach to hit. Her movement to the set is smooth and in control of herself. When she hits, look for her to hit with power down the line on the rightside. However, as the sets falls inside, Dorn’s excellent approach positions her to get to a ball quickly and hit it cross court. Her celebrations are amazing with both hands raised way up in the air sharing sheer joy after a point scored.
Amelia Lara | 2025 | L | Ripon High School
Amelia Lara is a defender that stays on her feet whenever she can. She without question reads the play, makes the play, and finally recovers out of the play as the afterthought. When she is moving to make the pay, she stays balanced and takes many small steps to the ball. That is probably what helps her stay on her feet. Generally, Lara takes is easy in the backrow making nothing look to strenuous. However, she regularly gets where she needs to go to make the play.
Kailee Inderbitzin | 5’8″ | 2024 | OH | Ripon High School
As a six rotation play, Kailee Inderbitzin does both digging and attacking. When hitting, she has great vision of the court as she sends the ball over to the opponents. Specifically, a well placed off speed shot is not only located around a block but also around defenders. When digging, Inderbitzin contacts the ball a little bit higher up on her platform. This brings the ball closer to her body which she may find easier to control. She has no problem getting her hands up to dig a deep attack. Overall, she gets her teammates many more opportunities by continuing the rally.
Lindsey Jones | 5’9″ | 2024 | OH/OPP | Archie Williams High School
A hitter that uses her abs to hit, like Lindsey Jones does, usually pulls down toward the ball to create some accelerating power into the ball. With the crouched motion in the air, she often looks to attack the blocker’s arms or hands. Her short, yet effective approach, makes her an option to set not matter the accuracy of the pass or dig. Additionally, Jones comes in on a set inside the sideline and then quickly changes the direction by hitting opposite the angle of her approach.
Reese Fraser | 5’3″ | 2024 | 5 | Archie Williams High School
When digging, Reese Fraser delivers a ball high in the air. This often gets the next person setting that ball plenty of time. For a setter, this can create an expectation of the dig height for when she is setting the dig the majority of the time. This is just one situation of Fraser being a leader by example. Additionally, she demonstrates hustle to every ball and an awareness of when to set or not set the second ball. Specifically, her steps to to prepare to set are small yet they get her where she needs to go.
