Sydney Williams-Edwards | 5’10” | 2027 | MB/OP |
Bakersfield Volleyball Club
A player that plays her own game like Sydney Williams-Edwards has a lot of potential. She does not deviate from what her learned skills are and that consistency is great to watch. When blocking, she finishes a block effectively. Specifically, her rare jump off on one foot move to close is excellent. Great athleticism. Williams-Edwards reads the game well. Specifically, she peels off the net as blocker every time a player passes the ball over the net. She touches a height of the first white on the antenna.
Ella Valenzuela | 2025 | S |
Ella Valenzuela is a hard working player on the court. Proficiently playing multiple positions is something she is capable of. When setting, she delivers a high set using both her arms and also some amount of her legs. Specifically, the slight knee bend with leg extension is followed up with her arms finishing and holding in the air. When hitting, her transition off the net is far and she stays away from the net when approaching back in. Valenzuela appears to be a student of the game having lengthy conversations while playing.
Mira Pham | 2026 | OH/OP | TStreet
Staying with a play like Mira Pham does really seems to excite both her and her teammates. That attentive extra effort and speed of thought can continue a rally that allows her more opportunities for her team. Additionally, she really seems to be very happy for her teammate’s successes. When passing, she often contacts the ball away from her body at almost full extension of her shoulders. As an athlete, she is coordinated and moves backward well. That athleticism is a great foundation to build on so make sure to find Pham.
Soleil Ramirez | 5’11” | 2024 | MB/OH | Forza1
Creating a big window for a setter is something that stands out in the game of Soleil Ramirez. Her short approach steps put her in a position where two things happen. One, she stops and has great distance off the net to move the ball around the block. Two, she can lengthen out her steps if needed when an unexpected pass location happens. Her natural shot to hit is cross court back to the opponent’s right back. Additionally, Ramirez plays controlled and smart during netplay situations.
Emma Villagomez | 5’3″ | 2025 | OH/L |
San Gabriel Elite
Three ways to describe the game of Emma Villagomez are athletic, energetic, and quick feet. Although those words often are somewhat synonymous, how she uses those words are not. Her quick feet and athleticism show up most as she will chase down a ball that many would not expect. Her energy into the net during her approach give her height in the air to make a deep hard driven attack. When hitting, she abruptly stops everything once her approach footwork is completed. Additionally, Villagomez is an active communicator during the volley.
