Jordan Root | 5’6″ | 2026 | S |
Awareness of when to the set the hot hitter and keep everyone involved is a part of the game of Jordan Root. She repeats a set to hitter consecutively in a rally and more often when that hitter has success. During gameplay, Root makes adjustments well to either maintain or find a connection with a hitter. Additionally, she can be very deceptive. Specifically, she makes a play on the ball by way of an excellent offspeed attack to the defense. She plays well in deciding an offense and immediately gains attention from her teammates.
Julianna Pheil | 5’10” | 2025 | OH |
Julianna Pheil gets attention on the court through her incredible, continuing enthusiasm. This energy is something that happens regardless of the result of the volley. When on offense, she takes a long approach and is also powerful. She does not waste her physical advantage as she works hard to get her nfeet to a set. Additionally, she uses her wrist occasionally to make a late change to her attack location. When on defense, Pheil sustains that energic presence with hustling both prior to the attack and diving to the floor after the attack.
Sophie Claudio | 2024 | L |
Moving well while keeping control of her platform after movement is a developed part of the game of Sophie Claudio. This control is provides balance to allow any setter passing her ball to make sure the hot hitter can get set. When preparing to play the ball, Claudio often takes many small steps. To emphasize, the movement is precise and coordinated such that the rest of her body remains aligned with skill performance. She takes on a new challenge well. Specifically, two challenges being a change in serve receive formation after a run of points or a small attack window to set to when the setter digs.
Rebecca James | 5’7″ | 2024 | L |
Temecula Viper
Volleyball
Servers beware that moving Rebecca James side to side will not change her passing. Specifically, she moves left and right to the ball well by shuffling her feet. From beginning to end of a volley, she lets the game come to her. This happens whether playing to a drill or in gameplay. Additionally, this also happens with the ball and with players. When the ball is hit or served short, she makes great effort to the ball and then executes a pass to target. There is a consistency to her action with her focused approach to passing each serve.
Ahlaiha Conley-Hudson | 5’6″ | 2026 | L | Coast Volleyball
When Ahlaiha Conley-Hudson sees a plays develop and that ball is hit right to her, she performs that defensive skill well. She has good range in terms of court coverage. There is a great potential for Conley-Hudson to track down a volleyball on even more, actually quite a lot of, court. She is eager and asserts herself on the court as a leader. When contacting the ball, she takes the ball in close to her body. This energetic player manages adversity on the court both technically and tactically.
