I scouted three matches in Pool 2 and Pool 1.
Here is a look at prospects who stood out in Shockwave’s two-set victory over Club Wave 17-1, a team composed of players from schools near the Lake of the Ozarks.
Jillian Gregory Jillian Gregory 6'0" | OH Maize South | 2025 State #66 Nation KS , 5’11”, OH, Maize South, ‘25
The first big surprise I got upon arriving at the Davies Complex was that Gregory, the No. 4 ranked player in the Class of 2025 had opened up her recruitment. The Maize South attacker had verbally committed to Oregon State, but with the giant conference shuffle in Division I athletics, she has decided to not play for the Beavers. So get in lines coaches. She was as dominant as ever with six kills, eight serve receptions, and a dig in the win over Club Wave. Gregory is a Power 5 Conference prospect all day – every day.
Chloe Traffas Chloe Traffas 5'4" | DS/L Attica | 2025 State KS , 5’3”, L, Attica, ‘25
The second biggest surprise was my first time witnessing Traffas play. She is a high-skilled libero with a nice serve. She plays for a small school Attica, so playing club ball with an elite Shockwave team will only help with her recruitment. She finished with five digs, five serve receptions, and three aces. I would not hesitate to recommend her to MIAA programs, and would not be surprised if a few Division I programs make a run at her. She is currently ranked No. 47 in the Class of 2025.
Jordyn Washington Jordyn Washington 6'0" | MB Andover Central | 2025 State KS , 5’10”, MH, Andover Central, ‘25
Washington never disappoints me when I scout her. The Andover Central middle hitter recorded six kills and one block in the win over Club Wave. She is a physical hitter and can leap tall buildings. She is ranked at No. 79 by Prep Dig which is way too low. She is a top 20 player if not top 10.
Harlee Randall, 6’0”, MH, Flint Hills, ‘25
Randall is another small school athlete that I had not seen play before. She has a big reach and a nice approach. She is a consummate team player who still stands out even though she is on a club team loaded with potential Division I talent. She had two kills in the match I scouted. I would say she has a Division II school ceiling and is very deserving of NAIA and JUCO recruitment.
Aubrey Wisker Aubrey Wisker 5'10" | OH Salina South | 2025 State KS , 5’11”, OH, Salina South, ‘25
Wisker moved to Kansas this school year from Denton, Texas. The phrase that everything is bigger in Texas also applies to its volleyball exports. Wisker is an impressive athlete, with high-quality upper body strength. She played primarily front row in the Shockwave’s rotation and finished with three kills. She is an aggressive and smart player. Wisker has a solid platform and is a polished hitter.
