I scouted four matches Sunday in the 16U Division.
This report features players from the Crush 16-1 team. This was the one team that I saw play twice on Sunday. I was impressed with their grittiness and competitive play.
Tori Morrison Tori Morrison 5'6" | OH Argonia | 2026 KS , 5’5”, OPP/DS, Argonia, ‘26
The interesting thing about this young team is their best jumpers and hitters are their shorter players. Morrison can jump out of the gym and do it all on a volleyball court. She finished with a two-match total of 12 kills, nine digs, and seven serve receptions. She has an accurate serve that accounted for three aces in the Crush’s first match of the day. Morrison is quick and for sure a small school talent that college coaches should familiarize themselves with.
Autumn Coleman, 5’5”, OPP/DS, Argonia, ’26
Coleman’s best match came during the Crush’s second match of the morning. She collected a two-match total of five kills, 14 digs, and 16 serve receptions. She has a solid platform and does not buckle during long rallies. She and Morrison are reason enough to try to catch a Red Raiders game next fall. Argonia finished last fall with a 35-5 records and I am willing to ber that Morrison and Coleman played huge roles on that team.
Ella Risely, 5’5”, L, Caldwell, ’26
Two liberos stood out on all of the teams I watched this weekend. One of them was Caldwell’s Risely. She plays under control and has a calming effect on her teammates. In two matches she racked up 19 digs, and 13 serve receptions. She makes a consistent first pass putting her team in system. She has a serve that will play at the next level and she had two aces in the team’s opening match of the day. College coaches should visit the historic Kansas Cowtown of Caldwell to check out Risely’s game.
Madison Clevenger, 5’6”, S/DS, Clearwater, ’26
Clevenger played two starkly different matches. First off she is a six-rotation talent who can set, hit, and pass the ball. In the first match of the day for Crush she was a hitting machine finished with eight kills. In the second match, she did a 180 and was dominant on defense with seven digs. The Clearwater prospect finished with a two-match total of 10 kills, seven digs, three serve receptions, two blocks, and one ace.
