And the tour continues, next up on the UA Next Camp Series, Indianapolis!
After a huge turn out for the first camp of the season in Kansas City, the search for the 2024 All-Americans continue. The Triple Crown stop of the tour saw three players receive their golden tickets to the illustrious event. The trio of invitees included Teraya Sigler (Arizona Storm), Taylor Deckert (SCVC) and Logan Parks (MAVS).
With three invites handed out, we have 21 more to go! MEQ has a loaded roster of potential All-Americans. Specifically in the setter and pin positions, to decide who gets invited is going to be a daunting task!
We could see as many as four golden tickets be handed out tomorrow at the Academy Volleyball Club and here are some of the names you need to keep an eye on.
Setters
Campbell Flynn – Reese Messer – Addison Horner
These three could easily be the trifecta needed to complete the setting group for next year’s games. Logan Parks out of MAVS Volleyball has snagged her ticket to the games. I wouldn’t be shocked to see if one or all of these players grab their ticket and join her.
Campbell Flynn is a heavy favorite. She’s coming off of a huge year in what is already an amazing early career for the future Cornhusker. Flynn was a part of that U19 crew that won a world championship this summer. She then followed it up by leading Team USA to a sixth place finish at U21 Worlds. A 6’2 lefty setter that can take over the match, it would be great to see Flynn bookend her career in Orlando next December.
Reese Messer is also one of those players that seem like a shoe-in for this roster. An avid Team USA member herself, Messer has been touted as one of the next big stars in the collegiate game. After leading Dynasty to a National Championship and Runner-Up finishes at USA Nationals in the last two seasons, she knows how to perform on the big stage. A golden ticket for Messer would mean TWO future USC Trojans competing in this year’s games.
Rounding out the trio of setters I could see grabbing a golden ticket on Thursday, I’d keep a close eye on Addison Horner from 1st Alliance. A future Wisconsin Badger, this player has the size and physicality to throw down with the best of them. What makes Horner an outlier is not only her ability to dish the rock at a high level, but she is a big time point scorer. As a setter, as an opposite, Horner could easily make herself a case for an invite one way or another.
Liberos
Sakura Codling – Kristen Simon
One slot filled, up to three more to go for the ‘bros. And I would be a little surprised if one, or both, of these players weren’t added onto that running list.
Sakura Codling out of Tri-State Elite has been a personal favorite of mine for quite sometime. But as of late, Codling is really catching some momentum when it comes to the national recognition. About time. This future UCLA Bruin has the grit and will to take her team the distance. It’s rare to see a libero really propel a team, but Codling most certainly does. She’s a baller on the court and could fit in well alongside future crosstown foe, Taylor Deckert.
Another defensive prodigy to watch on Thursday when it comes time to invitation reveals, Kristen Simon. Another future Badger that has a high probability for an invite to the UA All-America match. Nobody makes libero’s quite like KIVA does, and Simon comes from a long illustrious line of them. Her resume speaks for itself, including a AAU National Championship last summer.
Outside/Opposites
Abigail Mullen – Chloe Meester – Isabelle Busignani – Charlotte Vinson Charlotte Vinson 6'1" | OH Yorktown | 2025 State #21 Nation IN – Madison Quest
Much like the setters, this position is going to be a doozy in Indianapolis. There is going to be so much sheer talent on display, you really couldn’t go wrong with any of them.
A player I would consider a near automatic invite would be Abigail Mullen. Easily one of the best youth players in the country, regardless of age, Mullen is the real deal. A true opposite that has played up her entire career and has consistently been in and out of the USA gym, Mullen has high-level and championship experience. Alongside Flynn, Mullen won the U19 World title this past summer shortly after placing second in the USAV 17 Open.
Looking the left sides, players like Chloe Meester and Isabelle Busignani would be great additions to this growing roster. So far, just Teraya Sigler is the lone pin invitee. Meester, a future Louisville Cardinal has been an underrated player that is recently getting her flowers. She’s equipped with a heavy arm and some incredible shots. For Busignani, she’s been a consistent standout in the 2025 class for the bulk of her career. Named to the AAU All-American list for three straight seasons, this future Cincinnati Bearcat has great touch on first contact and explodes into her ball for the putaways.
Rounding out this top five outside watch list, keep an eye out for Madison Quest and Charlotte Vinson Charlotte Vinson 6'1" | OH Yorktown | 2025 State #21 Nation IN . Two future Big Ten power players, Quest is Wisconsin bound and Vinson is heading to Indiana. Both players are proven dynamos with an explosive nature. Quest has been a standout at MKE Sting and as of recent has been making herself a case for top in the class after leading Sting to a Triple Crown title. For Vinson, she’s been playing up on Munciana Samurai since last year and was the X Factor in their National Title last summer.
Middle Blockers
Abbey Emch – Olivia Grenadier – Victoria Gray – Shelby Ignash
After one camp down, the middle blocker position is wide open. Could MEQ be the camp to hand out the first golden ticket to a middle blocker? Here are some I think are in good position.
Abbey Emch and Olivia Grenadier are two really solid contenders for an invite. Emch is Pittsburgh bound and Grenadier is a future Colorado Buffalo. Both Emch and Grenadier are fairly consistent members of the USA National Team Development Program and are key power players to their respective teams. Grenadier has been a leading scorer for Legacy through the bulk of her career with her stout blocking and keen vision for the court.
Another two key players to keep an eye on are pair of current teammates, Victoria Gray and Shelby Ignash. These two are proven 1-2 punches out of the Michigan Elite cannon. Gray is another future Hoosier and Ignash is off to Raider Nation at Texas Tech. Both are general newbies onto the scene, only playing their first club season a season ago. Gray is well-known for her physicality on the block, meanwhile Ignash is the unstoppable force on the slide. All four of these players could be a big time players to add to this empty roster in the middle.
