The gym buzzed with anticipation and excitement as it hosted a multitude of distinguished Division 1 scouts from across the nation eager to show their interest in the top recruits. While the established superstars delivered standout performances, my focus in this article is to bring to spotlight some hidden gems. I am thrilled to share with you my insights and observations captured in my player notes.
Taylor Boice Taylor Boice 6’1″ | MB Redondo Union | 2026 State CA , from SCVC 16Roxy, has an impressive athletic build that is both beneficial defensively and offensively at the net. Taylor’s skills lie in her keen blocking reads and her ability to seamlessly transition into a solid cover defense when not set. Taylor plays with speed and actively works to always remain an offensive option for her setter. Frankie Jones from Sunshine 16 LA is a skilled middle blocker who consistently manages to get her hands on the ball when blocking. Notably, Frankie stands out as a positive player, exhibiting enthusiasm by talking up teammates, cheering during plays, and expressing a genuine desire to win.
