After a huge year full of college commitments in 2023, we’re here in 2024 with our first commitment radar report in Michigan.
The 2023 year included over 11 editions of the report with over 60+ commitments coming out of Michigan athletes. 2024 is looking to be another huge year of volleyball from the mitten state. Both from the courts and from the future endeavors of these athletes.
Exaclty two months ahead of the highly anticipated June 15 date for the 2026 class, we have our first report. Let’s take a look at who’s committed and where they’re off to in the next level.
Taygan Corstange Taygan Corstange 5'4" | DS/L Gull Lake | 2025 State MI to Wright State
5’6 L – Gull Lake/Dead Frog
We’ve been waiting quite anxiously to see where this libero was going to call home for the next four years. Taygan Corstange Taygan Corstange 5'4" | DS/L Gull Lake | 2025 State MI has been a force in the 2025 class from Michigan. A relentless defender with a motor that never dies, Corstange is a ‘bro that can take over a match. While she’s lead her teams to an Elite 8 with Gull Lake and a top five finish at AAUs with Dead Frog, she most recently snagged a bid to USAV Nationals with Dead Frog at MEQs.
Corstange joins an ongoing list of products out of Michigan heading to Wright State. She’ll join current freshman phenom, Reilly Zegunis, and incoming prospect Greta McKee Greta McKee 5'5" | DS/L Northville | 2024 State MI in the fall of 2025.
Jaelyn Hall Jaelyn Hall 6'1" | RS Bedford | 2024 State MI to IPFW
6’1 OPP – Bedford/Premier (OH)
This has been another player that we’ve been patiently been awaiting her next move. Look no further, Jaelyn Hall Jaelyn Hall 6'1" | RS Bedford | 2024 State MI is off to Purdue-Fort Wayne in the fall. After bursting onto the scene this past fall with Bedford, Hall quickly became an intriguing prospect out of the 2024 class. A physical presence on the right side with her left handed boomer and impeccable blocking, Hall has been coming into her own quite nicely.
This fall not only saw Hall take huge strides in her game, but she headed up one of the most deep benches in the state of Michigan. Alongside her, Hall was joined by Indiana commit, Victoria Gray Victoria Gray 6'2" | MB Bedford | 2025 State #100 Nation MI , and Bowling Green commit, Alivia Brown Alivia Brown 5'9" | DS/L Temperance Bedford | 2025 State MI .
Saige Martin Saige Martin 6'0" | MB Pewamo Westphalia | 2024 State MI to Wayne State
6’0 OPP/MB – Pewamo-Westphalia/Michigan Elite
It was unsure which direction this player would go in. Being a multiple state champion in both volleyball and on the track, Saige Martin Saige Martin 6'0" | MB Pewamo Westphalia | 2024 State MI had options. Choosing to go the volleyball route, Martin joined forces with Michigan Elite this club season and made herself known as the real deal. Once a middle blocker in the high school scene, Martin proved to be a big time scorer on the right pin with her bombing arm and skilled blocking.
Martin joins Michigan Elite alumni Kendyl Andrews (2022) and Kayla Giroux (2022) on the court and assistant coach, Hailey Richardson (2014) on the bench.
Alana Bailey Alana Bailey 6'0" | MB East Kentwood | 2025 State MI to Ball State
6’0 MB – East Kentwood/FaR Out
Alana Bailey Alana Bailey 6'0" | MB East Kentwood | 2025 State MI has quickly become one of the most promising prospects in the 2025 class when it comes to middle blockers. After a stellar sophomore campaign with FaR Out, leading them to a top five national finish, Bailey has been making her moves with 18 Black this club season. Bailey is an athletic piece at the net with a promising block and an evergrowing range in her attack. She’ll be taking her game to Muncie, Ind. with Ball State.
Bailey will be joining fellow Michigander, Josie Bloom (2022) on the roster in the fall of 2025.
Morgan Kuhl Morgan Kuhl 6'2" | MB Hanover-Horton | 2025 MI to Northern Michigan
6’1 MB – Hanover-Horton
This is a player that has fallen under MANY people’s radar, but is one that you need to keep an eye on. Northern Michigan is grabbing a real dandy in Morgan Kuhl Morgan Kuhl 6'2" | MB Hanover-Horton | 2025 MI out of Hanover-Horton. At 6’2, Kuhl offers an abundance in physicality and athleticism. She’s an intense blocker and can score from just about anywhere on the court for HH. A multisport athlete with little club options nearby, Kuhl plays for a local club out of Hillsdale.
Kuhl joins a growing 2025 class that includes OH Grace Allen Grace Allen 5'11" | OH Mona Shores | 2025 State MI from MVA.
