Held at the Salt Palace Convention Center and live streamed via BallerTV, this event is amazing! This article series will discuss some of the players that turned the heads of the court coaches and scouts that were in attendance. Let’s see who earned the Top Performer award from the showcase.
Mackenzie McDaniel [2028] 6-0 Right Side (HS: Santa Margarita/Club: Orange Coast/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Mackenzie is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings, but that is only because we have not released them yet for her grad class. She will play volleyball for Santa Margarita High School and also plays for Coast Volleyball Club ‘]. Miss McDaniel played extremely big at the net during both the positional drills and the scrimmage games. Her court coach nominated her for a few reasons. One reason was how much fire she played with. Most of these players did not know each other and had to adapt very quickly to try to have as much cohesion as possible. Mackenzie made that transition so effortlessly and that says a lot about who she is as a person and a player. As an attacker, her reach was one of the best aspects of her play. Due to that high reach, many opposing blockers had a hard time trying to time her attack, which led to Mack scoring easily. Her hand contact was also a bright spot as she was able to direct the ball to any location she wanted to. We will keep our eye on her as she progresses in the sport. Please help us congratulate her on earning the Top Performer award at the showcase.
Lily Beckwith [2027] 5-11 Outside (HS: Bishop Manogue/Club: Northern Nevada Juniors/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Lily is currently an unranked prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings, but that is only because they have not been released yet for her state. She plays volleyball for Bishop Manogue High School and also plays club for the Northern Nevada Juniors volleyball program. Miss Beckwith was so much fun to watch on the court. You can really tell that she enjoys playing the sport of volleyball because of how excited she was during the entire showcase. Her court coach had such a great time coaching her and had rave reviews on what they saw from her. The two-sport stud also plays basketball and you can see how it translates to aggressiveness on the volleyball sport court. Lily can score in a variety of ways. Throughout the night she did a little bit of everything offensively. Her offensive arsenal included cross-court shots, line shots, tips to multiple zones, and off-speed roll shots. She is a complete six rotation outside hitter who will continue to turn heads as she continues in the sport. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.
Aaralyn Smith Aaralyn Smith 5'4" | DS/L Clear Springs | 2028 TX [2028] 5-4 Libero (HS: Clear Springs/Club: Houston Stellar/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Aaralyn is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but that is only because we have not released them yet. She will play at Clear Springs High School and plays club for the Houston Stellar volleyball program. What I loved about her abilities in the back row is that she was digging and passing like she was a seasoned junior or senior. The way she was able to use her body to collapse on the floor for balls that were a little short was astounding. I also loved how she is able to lunge left or right in order to help dig/pass balls that are a little further away from her midline. While doing that, she also creates amazing angles with her platform to help deliver the passes to her setter. This young lady has a bright future in the libero position. We are so glad that we got to see her in action at the showcase. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.
