Held at the Salt Palace Convention Center and live streamed via BallerTV, this event is amazing! This article series will discuss some of the players that turned the heads of the court coaches and scouts that were in attendance. Let’s see who earned the Top Performer award from the showcase.
Madison Forst Madison Forst 6'1" | RS Wakeland | 2026 TX [2026] 6-1 Right Side (HS: Wakeland/Club: Arete/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Madison is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Wakeland High School and also club for the Arete volleyball program. Miss Forst is not a stranger to us at Prep Dig as we have had her in a few of our showcases. Every time she shows up, she puts on a show and impresses her court coaches. You can’t teach height and Miss Forst has a lot of it. She has worked her way to be on the top courts with the older players and continues to compete extremely well at this level. Madison has a very strong arm that is extremely fast on her down swing, which leads to some awesome power being directed into the ball. If she does get blocked, they better have some great timing and technique, because if they don’t their arms will be tooled for a kill for sure. I love her attitude also because she is not scared to go up against anyone and that is exactly the type of player that I would want on my team. She is also playing up an age group with her club team this year and doing well, so I suggest that you should take a look at her if you are needing a talented scorer and blocker for your program. Please help us congratulate her on earning the Top Performer award at the showcase.
Serena Yarbrough Serena Yarbrough 5'11" | MB Plano West | 2026 TX [2026] 5-11 Middle (HS: Plano West/Club: Arete/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Serena is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball for Plano West High School and also plays club for the Arete volleyball program. Miss Yarbrough is a solid contributor at the net on both sides of the ball out of the middle for any squad she competes on. The talented middle has a very high motor and is extremely active patrolling the net as a blocker. I love how she is always in a loaded position to move laterally across the net and never just has her legs in a stationary or straight position. This will keep her very quick to close the block and adjust her positioning. As an attacker, she drives her legs hard toward the net in order to stay on time and create momentum into her attack. She hits a heavy ball that can score on any defense. I love how she is always ready to attack at any given time and never truly takes a play off. While a lot of middles tire out and will not be involved in every single play, this is not how she operates. She knows her job and does it to the best of her abilities at all times. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.
Mackenna Palmer Mackenna Palmer 5'4" | DS/L El Capitan | 2027 CA [2027] 5-4 Libero (HS: El Capitan/Club: ECVBA/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Mackenna is currently an unranked prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig Califorina State Rankings. She plays at El Capitan High School and plays club for the ECVBA volleyball program. While there were a lot of liberos playing well and showcasing their abilities in the back row, I am not sure there was more aggressive one than Miss Palmer during our positional drills. Her ability to truly pursue the ball relentlessly was astounding. She had not a care in the world for her body and was able to do whatever it took in order for the ball to be saved and not hit the floor. This is exactly the kind of mentality you want in a back row floor general. What also stood out to me during the drills and scrimmages was how she held her platform well after contact of the ball. This kind of attention to detail is exactly why her balls were going to target. By holding her platform after contact she ensured that there was no extra movement being distributed into the ball and causing it to veer off course toward her setter. She has been coached extremely well and we can see that she listens very well. It was very refreshing and we will have our eye on her closely moving forward. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.
