That’s no different in the Class of 2025, which is overloaded with next-level prospects in the county.
Here’s Part 2 of a 2-part look into the top 2025 talents coming from Oakland County.
Players listed alphabetically
Brooke Hehl Brooke Hehl 5'8" | S Lutheran Northwest | 2025 State MI , S Lutheran Northwest/Legacy
Hehl could be one of the unsung heroes of this class. Playing at Lutheran Northwest, sometimes she doesn’t get the credit she deserves. She’s a dominant setter in Division 3, but then she’s showcased that same ability in club play with Legacy. Hehl can hit all her spots and push a fast tempo. She shows complete control of her offense.
Lauren Johnson Lauren Johnson 6'2" | MB South Lyon East | 2025 State MI , MH South Lyon East/Legacy
Part of a triple threat of size at South Lyon East, the 6’2” Johnson played with cruel intentions at the net. Whether for the Cougars, or for Legacy, Johnson has some of the most powerful and violent attacks you will see. She plays well above the net and is key for a momentum-swinging kill. She’s heading west in 2025 to play for Washington State.
Addison Newblatt Addison Newblatt 5'9" | OH Clarkston | 2025 State MI , OH Clarkston/Michigan Elite
Newblatt dealt with injuries a year ago, but has really exploded back onto the scene over the last 12 months. The Clarkston and Michigan Elite outside has power that can match anyone, and her competitive fire is hard to match as well. Fordham got a prospect that is still very much on the rise.
Mya Kattula Mya Kattula 5'11" | S Notre Dame Prep | 2025 State MI , S/RS Notre Dame Prep/Michigan Elite
A great combo player, Kattula just knows how to make plays. She’s a smooth setter that pushes the pace offensively, while also being a solid power arm that can place the ball anywhere on the other side of the net. She shows a great court IQ for both NDP and Michigan Elite.
Madelyn Krappmann Madelyn Krappmann 5'10" | OH Everest Collegiate | 2025 State MI , OH Everest Collegiate/Unified
Krappmann was also a big key to leading Everest Collegiate to a state championship. She was the compliment to Bradley on the outside, while bringing in a great defensive game and serve. Krappmann will be heading to Hillsdale to play at the next level in 2025.
Kadie Tarasiewicz Kadie Tarasiewicz 6'0" | MB Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Preparatory | 2025 State MI , MH OLSM/Legacy
Tarasiewicz has been one of the building blocks for the Orchard Lake St. Mary’s program in its infancy. She’s a 6-foot middle that has a high finishing rate and is able to generate a lot of velocity with ease. She’s adding to her game each club season with Legacy and is sure to find a home at the next level.
Audrey Thummel Audrey Thummel 5'6" | DS/L Notre Dame Prep | 2025 State MI , L/DS Notre Dame Prep/Michigan Elite
Another standout defender out of the Notre Dame Prep program, Thummel is well-coached and technically sound. She’s got the instincts that we’ve seen out of a lot of previous NDP liberos. Her work ethic is a strong points as well.
Addison Williams Addison Williams 6'2" | MB South Lyon East | 2025 State MI , MH South Lyon East/Legacy
A 6’2” middle for South Lyon East and Legacy, Williams has really raised her game in the last year. She’s shown her ability to move quickly along the net and get into position to put the ball away at a high rate. Her blocking ranks up there with the best as well. Williams will be heading to Fresno State in 2025.
