However, that left no shortage of solid setters set to make an impact.
Flowers stepped into a huge role for the Cardinals as a freshman this past year after seeing limited action as an eighth grader and could be counted on for a bigger role with the graduation of nine seniors. Flowers does a great job moving all over the court making sound digs and communicating well with teammates. Flowers makes sound sets reacting fast to plays. She can shoot balls to the corners on setter dumps and has nice line drives on her serves. Flowers made the 1st Region All-Tournament team last year leading Mayfield to a 29-8 season, the first All “A” Region championship in school history and a spot in the 1st Region semifinals with 774 assists, 70 kills, 11 solo blocks, 162 digs and 33 aces.
Carlisle County head coach Whitney Puckett said Dunn is very dedicated to the program and it shows on the court with great qualities as a leader. Puckett said she has great hands and makes very smart decisions on the floor. Dunn is a solid passer reads defenses well trying to put her hitters in position to put balls down. Dunn has some deceptive setter dumps. Dunn has a nice serve to the shallow left side of the floor. Dunn had 487 assists, 288 digs, 36 aces and 62 kills leading the Comets to a spot in the 1st Region Tournament.
Natalie Truitt

Truitt is trying to become a solid all-around player for the Warriors. Truitt can set the ball to both the front and back court, including a back set. She is a sound passer and dives to the floor going after balls defensively. Truitt has shown she can dig up some of the best hitters in the state, even making changes when opponents make hitting adjustments in the air. Her defense and serving also can not be overlooked. Truitt had 357 assists, 274 digs, 58 aces, 127 kills and 15 assisted blocks helping the Warriors to a 26-9 record and spot in the 1st Region Tournament.
Deweese has been a solid setter in the 1st Region for three seasons. Her numbers have improved every year. Deweese reads opposing hitters and reacts fast displaying the ability to run all over the court. Deweese is also a sound passer and outstanding commicator. Deweese has 1,340 assists for her high school career. Deweese had 554 assists, 86 digs, 51 kills and 47 aces leading the Falcons to their first 1st District crown since 2019 and a spot in the 1st Region Tournament.
Allie Vonnahme
Allie Vonnahme
Vonnahme grew into Murray’s primary setter this past season. Vonnahme does a good job aligning her body with balls to make solid contact on her sets. Vonnahme makes nice cross sets, is a sound passer and can serve deep to get teams out of rhythm. Vonnahme had 369 assists, 83 digs, 29 aces and 19 solo blocks for the Tigers last year.
