Back to Minneapolis.

The Northern Lights Qualifier has always been a big venue for Nebraska teams, and the scale of this annual event keeps expanding. We now have three NLQ weekends to keep track of. Bring on the second one.

This weekend's NLQ outing will feature a pair of USAV divisions in the 15s age group: 15 USA and 15 American. And, of course, we have some Great Plains Region competitors vying for bids in these groups. So, before this weekend's drama, let's briefly introduce them.

15 USA

This high-level division features a familiar triad of clubs in the Great Plains scene.

Nebraska Elite 15 Prime is looking for a big breakthrough in Minneapolis. We've watched this group at multiple Midwest Power League outings, revealing a squad that has the ball control and firepower to succeed at a national qualifier. Class of 2028 watch list additions are sure to come from this team.

This is a busy stretch of the calendar for Premier Nebraska 15 Black. Our most recent encounter with 15 Black was at this month's Nebraska Elite Classic, where 15 Black piled up quality wins in preparation for this Minneapolis trip. Last year's 15 Black group produced early-season magic at NLQ. Can the new wave of 15s replicate that triumph?

The trio is complete with [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] 15 Elite. This weekend of NLQ will tell us a lot about VCN's top 15s performers. The journey starts with three tough matchups against SMV, Colorado Juniors, and Houston Skyline.

A full allotment of three bids is available in 15 USA. We'll see if Nebraska can claw toward the mountaintop.

We're about to learn a bit about the Class of 2028--okay, we're going to learn a lot.

The American division is typically stacked with dozens of teams at a national qualifier, and this weekend's NLQ outing is no exception. Out of the 120-plus teams in NLQ's 15 American division, nine hail from the Great Plains Region. We have our notepads ready for this one.

This Nebraska field features a few multi-club entries in the same division. Club Legacy is the most notable example, as this group will be bringing 15 Alpha, 15 Bravo, and 15 Charlie to compete side-by-side in 15 American. We've been waiting anxiously to see these Club Legacy 15s in action, and we'll have plenty of names to add to our watch list after this weekend. Keep an eye on this trio.

[program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] is also stacking its assets with 15 Blue and 15 White sparring in this division. 15 Blue has seen plenty of Power League success, including a 15 Club title in the event's January outing. This will be our first chance to get eyes on 15 White.

What about [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] 15 Black and 15 Lime? We've covered these groups a handful of times while assessing their work at the ASICS President's Day Classic. The stakes are even higher in Minneapolis, and we should see some future stars in the Lincoln area. [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] is building serious depth in this age group with 15 Titanium joining that equation.

Finally, we have a pair of single entries from very prominent clubs in the annual NLQ picture. Premier Nebraska 15 Silver joins the party, and we just saw this group match up with their 15 Black counterparts at the Nebraska Elite Classic. We also have Nebraska Elite 15 Heat, an important fixture in the club's 15s depth.

Tie all the drama together with one last point: all of these teams are competing for one solitary bid in this division.
