Our current sophomores are entering the biggest recruiting period of their careers. Their potential first offers should come this summer, with many more coming over their junior years of high school ball. For now, however, we're keeping our eyes on the entire class, as none of them have committed anywhere yet. There are so many different evaluation articles to come this week.

Like what?

In the next few days, our readers will see articles about the newest additions to the class rankings, some stock risers in the class of '27 and three days of positional breakdowns that focus on one position per day. In all, 25 unique athletes will be featured, and each article will have five different clubs from throughout the state mentioned. There's talent everywhere, and we try our best to cover as much area as possible.

What if I don't find my name?

There are hundreds of athletes from around the state participating in volleyball in the class of '27, and it is virtually impossible to cover them all. If you can't find your name, enter your information (for free) on our site, and we can add you to our list of athletes. It's much easier for you, the athlete, to find us than it is for us to find you.

Sounds easy. What's next?

Once you enter your FULL information and we have an opportunity to evaluate you properly, there are plenty of opportunities to raise your stock or get our attention. We have a channel on X with the name @PrepDigIN and check it regularly. We'll sometimes direct message our athletes to give them a heads up on upcoming showcases or comments on their particular feeds with their highlight reels and such. Keep in mind that there are college coaches that follow our channel too, and they read what you read. Any exposure is good exposure if you want to play at the next level. One of our scouts, Melissa Smith, also has a rather healthy Instagram following, and you can find her there to do the very same thing that we do on X.

How else can I increase my exposure?

We host Freshman and Stock Up Showcases and a Top 250 Expo at the end of every summer and the end of every high school season to boost your chances of being seen and evaluated. When available, more information can be found on PrepDig.com for your perusal.

What do these rankings mean?

We rank athletes based on what their future college prospects could be, not how they're playing right now. A 5'5" outside hitter from a small 1A high school might be setting all of the records in their corner of the state, but is probably not going to be an outside hitter in college. Do you play other positions? What are your strengths? Catering to high school programs is fine, but our focus is on the athletes' future, which is predictive. And that's what this is---a prediction---making this a subjective list. Nothing is set in stone, and your college prospects to not live and die according to our rankings. Your place on this list will rise and fall, and most of it has nothing to do with an individual athlete. Some get better, some get worse, and all of it is opinion, not FACT.

What else should I know?

Understand that we do this for fun and for the promotion of the athletes we cover. Ideally, we want all of our athletes to succeed, and our state- and nationwide coverage is unmatched in this area. We don't just talk about the top 1% of the class; ANYONE can do that. We talk about the kids that might be exceptional role players or "diamonds in the rough" too.

That being said, if you have information about an athlete that allow us to be more accurate, by all means, share it. But share it nicely, as negative/hurtful/hateful/spiteful comments will be ignored. We don't do that at PrepDig, so we expect the same from our readership. Remember, these are children, and we're here to help, not hurt. Besides, this is just a game, and we want our athletes to enjoy their time playing volleyball for as long as possible. In short, have fun.
