Skyline Season Opener: Talented Setters in the 15 Open Division

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The club volleyball season is officially underway, and last weekend kicked off what will be an exciting seven months of intense, high-level tournaments being held all over the state of Texas.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The opening weekend had some really good ones to follow, and we, at Prep Dig Texas, started our coverage at the Skyline Classic Season Opener, held at the recently renovated facilities of the popular [program_tooltip program_id='510661' first='Houston' last='Skyline'] club in Houston.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li><strong><a href="https://prepdig.com/2025/12/skyline-classic-season-opener-15-open-division-photos/">Skyline Classic Season Opener: 15 Division Photos</a></strong></li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Teams from all over the Houston area were represented in the event, and we focused our coverage on the 15 Open Division, which featured eight sides, coming from six different clubs in the area.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It was a great start for what's going to be another amazing season in Texas, and we're happy to feature the players who were in excellent form on Saturday. Vastly recognized as one of the top setters in the state in her age group, she performed as so and led her team to a dominant campaign with her consistent game and superior volleyball IQ. Always very accurate with her location, Penberthy was brilliant with her distribution, consistently getting her hitters to swing 1v1 at the pins. She was also very aggressive with her setter dumps, which should actually be called setter swings, as she turned her body entirely to the opposite side of the net and unleashed it with her left arm. Her playmaking was consistently solid, combining great accuracy and smart distribution, and she was particularly good when feeding her outside hitters with very quick sets at the pin, in which she could hit the target from basically anywhere on the court. The talented setter was one of the key players in their campaign, running their offense with impressive efficiency and accuracy. Rajevac not only did very well with her precision, but also pushed the right buttons in the distribution, making excellent choices. The setter also came big for her team and helped them score points with solid serves, well-balanced blocks and even by taking on some swings on the right. A tall setter, she did well with her movement on the court and displayed great technique with her ball handling, being able to remain accurate even when working with passes off the net. Inman also contributed offensively in some rotations, and showed very good court vision to beat blockers and put the ball down.
