While I get to see a lot of Indiana kids throughout the club circuit, there is so much talent in this state. It is simply so hard to see all that the Hoosier state has to offer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>For this event, I saw a lot of great stuff from all aspects of the gym. From the pure positional separation of it all, to the communicative grit and effort that these Indiana kids bring to the court.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In this one, let's talk setters. There were a lot of fun ones to chat about. Many bringing different attributes to the court that ultimately made them shine bright. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='890274' first='Ali' last='Wells'] - Greensburg Community </h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I love a setter who is adamant on getting her hands on the ball. And now, in this day and age, with the double contact rule out the window, it is a must in my book. [player_tooltip player_id='890274' first='Ali' last='Wells'] is fast and relentless to get herself under the ball and running the show. She is a bit on the undersized side of the game, however with her speed and athleticism, it can more than make up for her lack in size.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='880674' first='Ava' last='Gulden'] - Carmel</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='880674' first='Ava' last='Gulden'] brings so much to the court. Listed as a primary opposite, Gulden can double as both an attacker and a setter and she does both at a high level. While her attacking was a highlight point, Gulden's ability to run the court as a setter is something that really stood out to me in a great way.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='769915' first='Alaina' last='Sloan'] - Cathedral </h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I was a big fan of this players overall game. In just terms of setting, she had some of the best hands in the gym despite her youth. [player_tooltip player_id='769915' first='Alaina' last='Sloan'] has a knack to take risk and go against the flow of the game in order to grab a point. It's a trait that can't necessarily be taught, but you just have. Sloan definitely has a great feel for the game and the attributes needed to up her game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='781667' first='Kiersten' last='Lutz'] - Noblesville</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='781667' first='Kiersten' last='Lutz'] has a very consistent ball location. She doesn't have to rely on a flashy approach or anything extra. Lutz just gets the job done. She was having a lot of success connecting with multiple attackers throughout the day. In a showcase setting like this, with a myriad of hitters, this is a serious shout out to her game and eye for her hitters.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
