#2: Katie Egenolf Katie Egenolf 6'1" | OH Center Grove | 2022 State #108 Nation IN , 6-1, OH, Center Grove
The most recent addition to the ten-foot club starts this fall as the clear offensive leader for the Trojans. At this time last fall, she was just cracking the lineup and finding her way. By the end, in the semi state loss to New Castle, Katie was going toe-to-toe with one of the top pin attackers in the ’21 class, Mabry Shaffmaster, a North Carolina commit. She’ll be leaned on even more to run the show now that MJ Hammill (Wisconsin) and Ashley Eck (Indiana State) and their leadership graduated.
#10: Estella Kleffman Estella Kleffman 5'9" | OH Trinity Lutheran | 2022 State IN , 5-9, OH, Trinity Lutheran
If everything goes according to plan, Miss Kleffman might be the x-factor in a state championship for the Cougars. Her ability to play at a high level despite her size, along with the experience to play multiple positions offensively and defensively, makes her one of the best hybrids in any class. This Union-trained kid can, and will, play at the next level. It’s just a matter of finding a program who doesn’t pigeon-hole her for her size.
#12: Eva Hudson Eva Hudson 6'1" | OH Bishop Dwenger | 2022 State #110 Nation IN , 5-10, OH, Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger
I want to see this kid in the state championship. Eva is a six-rotation, all-go, no quit outside that can take over a match if you let her. Just the type of player you can lean on when the going gets tough. The million dollar question, though, is if Miss Hudson gets any help this fall.
#13: Ella Peter Ella Peter 6'0" | MB Noblesville | 2022 State IN , 6-0, OH/RS, Noblesville
On a team that has had its fair share of talent, the Millers will be taking their lumps this fall in the toughest section in the state. Ella has been, without a doubt, the best surprise Noblesville could have asked for. As a freshman, she was the starting M1. Her sophomore year had her passing and hitting from both pins. What does this fall bring? Who knows, but Ella will be up for the challenge. She can do anything you ask her to, without complaint, and do it well.
#15: Natalie Lostutter Natalie Lostutter 5'9" | RS Floyd Central | 2022 State IN , 5-9, RS, Floyd Central
BANG. That’s the sound you hear when Natalie attacks. A heavy ball, coupled with quick feet and a quick twitch, makes this the second Union kid on this list. Floyd’s got one big problem, however. Providence, a perennial top five program in any class, seems to always be in their sectional. Thankfully, reclassification does come, but not until the fall of 2021.
