Arstingstall has a good fundamental foundation. She has six-rotation skills and shines in the areas of ball control and defense. Showing good vision and engagement in tracking opponent serves and play development defensively, she makes good reads and reacts with a simple and steady platform. Offensively, she scores through an aggressive arm but also has good court awareness and arm control to move the ball through effective roll and tips shots. She averaged two kills per set for St. Henry in 2020.
Kayla Hostetler – 5’7 | DS/L | Notre Dame Academy
Hostetler covers a lot of court as a libero as her range is a product of her watching the right things and preparing to make the right move based upon point flow. She has good quickness and maximizes her size and length with her ability to purse the ball in any direction, whether it takes her to the floor, is overhead, or requires a turn and pursue scramble reaction. Her court awareness and expectation to be involved at any moment is a key attribute. Additionally, she supports her team well in the critical phases of the serve and pass elements to complement her defensive skills.
Calah Jackson – 6’2 | RS | Covington Latin
Jackson has good size and length at 6’2 and can bring a heavy ball. She gets her feet to the ball well and opens her shoulders to help generate her power. Her ability to score from either pin and in the middle is a bonus and shows potential to become a complete player as she improves her ball control, which will raise her stock as a next-level prospect. Her versatility, size and strength can be maximzed further as she continues to develop connection to point flow and foot speed relative to her role and opportunities on both sides of the ball. She has potential to be an elite attacker and to command the ball as a primary offensive threat.
Ava Jacobs – 5’7 | DS/L | Notre Dame Academy
Good patience and first-step pursuit helps Jacobs well in her contributions on the defensive side. She reads the floor well and has great instincts and quickness to make big plays. She has a good defensive skill set to play with range and with a fundamentally sound platform or when needing to use emergency skills to keep the ball alive. She adds a lot of stability in the areas of ball control and maintains good composure to do what is needed for her team. A product of Notre Dame Academy, she has a bright future that will help this program sustain its high standard of play.
Peyton Mast – 5’11 | RS | Notre Dame Academy
Mast has good experience under her belt as a member of one of the state’s best programs at Notre Dame Academy and in competing with NKYVC. The lefty is very active as an opposite side attacker and six-rotation athlete. She has average elevation but can do a lot with her arm when on balance in the air. She has good vision to control her placement in addition to being able to generate some good power when taking aggressive swings. She has good instincts in the back row and pursues the ball well defensively and can step in and pass as part of her team’s serve receive effort when needed.
