A look at three Region 5 2023 outside hitters to watch follows.
Addie Atcher is a sophomore outside hitter from Central Hardin High School. An experienced leader, Atcher helped to lead Central Hardin to the 2020 17th District championship. Highly productive, Atcher possesses solid jumping ability, elevates well at the net and has shown the ability to hit from both the front row and the back row. Atcher reads opposing defenses and calls out hitters accurately.
Maddie Livingston is a sophomore outside hitter from Thomas Nelson High School. Livingston was among the top players for Thomas Nelson during the 2020 high school volleyball season. Athletic, Livingston can deliver as a go-to hitter, adjusts to sets coming from any location efficiently and boasts solid back row skills. Livingston has displayed the ability to lead and is poised to carry momentum into her junior season.
Torie Sparks is a sophomore outside hitter from Bethlehem High School. Sparks was instrumental in Bethlehem’s success throughout the 2020 high school volleyball season. Agile and quick, Sparks is a skilled passer and productive hitter from the left side who contributes frequently in multiple categories.
