In the title game, Busignani not only led Marian in kills, but in digs with 20! While only a sophomore, this type of performance has cemented Busignani as one of the top prospects in Michigan.
Abigail Reck Abigail Reck 6'2" | MB Northville | 2023 State #74 Nation MI – Northville
While Northville didn’t return home with the trophy, they wouldn’t have gotten so close without the prowess of Abigail Reck Abigail Reck 6'2" | MB Northville | 2023 State #74 Nation MI on the left pin. Once one of the top middle blockers around, to now, one of the top pin attackers in Michigan, Reck has left her mark. While putting up over 40 kills between both the semis and championship match, Reck’s growth defensively shined just as bright, with over 30 digs throughout nine sets.
Ella Schomer Ella Schomer 6'0" | RS Marian | 2023 State #142 Nation MI – Marian
Not to be denied her third straight title, Ella Schomer Ella Schomer 6'0" | RS Marian | 2023 State #142 Nation MI was doing all that she could for the Marian Mustangs. With two double-double outings in both of the final matches, Schomer was hard to get past. Whether it was her mighty south paw bringing the heat or her prowess as a back court defender. Schomer was key to Marian’s three-peat.
Kendall Hopewell Kendall Hopewell 6'1" | MB Forest Hills Northern | 2024 State #193 Nation MI – Forest Hills Northern
Not everyday you see a middle blocker that can play six rotations and take on a huge role in the team’s offense, defense AND reception. Kendall Hopewell Kendall Hopewell 6'1" | MB Forest Hills Northern | 2024 State #193 Nation MI can do it all and played a huge role for the Huskies in the semis. As one of Hills’ leading scorers with 13 points (11 kills, 1 ace and 2 blocks), Hopewell can do some damage. Her defense was just as impressive, as she led with 12 digs.
