How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I hustle to save every ball. Having played multiple positions, I find myself to be very versatile. I feel like I have good court awareness.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I try to stay very upbeat and positive. I always strive to do my best. In games where we may be loosing, I always try to keep myself and my teammates attitudes up and keep us focused on finishing strong and doing our best. I’m not perfect by any means, but I do my best to give 100% at all times. Volleyball is a huge mental game. You have to be mentality tough to fight through and finish.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am a worship leader for my school chapel team and I lead worship for my church. I also help in church nursery. I am on the council at my school. I have received honors in classes awards, as well as the Mighty in Sprit Award last year in school. I have placed 1st for band flute solos and 2nd for vocal solos.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have done a lot of community service through my church just serving in different departments. I lead in worship team, and I have been a captain in volleyball for both school and club for the past two years.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Sometimes I think people underestimate me because I’m only 5’4’’ but I have learned to overcompensate my height or lack of height with being a hustler on the court.
What type of college are you looking for?
I want to go to a college that has a team with a positive atmosphere. I want to step foot on the court and feel like a family with the other girls.
