Class A Update: Millard West, Papio Advance to Semifinals

GRAND ISLAND - Papillion-LaVista used a 14-3 run to end the first set as a springboard on its way to a 25-20, 16-25, 25-18, 25-23 victory over Millard North in the Class A quarterfinals of the state volleyball tournament. Katie Stephens led the way for the Monarchs with 20 kills. With the fourth set tied at 21 apiece, Papillion used a Millard North hitting error and an ace block from Jessica Peters to build a 23-21.
