Guilherme Torres is a Brazilian native journalist specialized in volleyball. He played the sport at the club level in his hometown Rio de Janeiro and started covering it in 2007. From Paintsville, Ky., Steve has 20 years of experience covering high school and college volleyball in Kentucky and bordering states as both a writer and broadcaster. Drew Ellis has been covering prep sports in the state of Michigan for nearly 20 years. From Portland, he studied journalism at Central Michigan University where he also covered Chippewa athletics. Mike has decades of experience coaching volleyball, including with NCAA DI, DII, DIII and NAIA schools as well as a variety of high school and elite club programs. Kyprian Harasymowycz is the first writer/recruiter for PrepDig Indiana. He has refereed in high school, club and college since 2014. Currently, he is a Junior National certified USAV referee, regularly working major JVA events, USAV qualifiers and USAV Nationals for both the girls and boys sides of play. In collegiate officiating, he is a PAVO National Line Judge, and works for the Big Ten Conference, the Missouri Valley Conference, the Great Lakes Valley Conference (NCAA II), the Heartland Conference (NCAA III), the University of Louisville, IUPUI and Butler. He is also a PAVO State referee, and refs in the Missouri Valley Conference, the Heartland Conference and the Crossroads Conference (NAIA). He has worked four NCAA I postseason tournaments, including making the Final Four in the fall of 2019 and the spring of 2021. Prior to his referee career, he coached high school, club and college volleyball for 19 years. His highest accomplishment was being on the coaching staff for the University of Indianapolis’ (NCAA II) first ever run to the Elite Eight in 2009. He was also on the coaching staff at Missouri State University (NCAA I) during the 2010 season. He is proud to have coached Cheneta Morrison, two-time NCAA II All-American, and Matt Anderson, current US Men’s National Team player and professional player for Modena in Italy’s Primera Liga. In all, Kyp has played, coached and reffed volleyball since 1985, and is a proud native of Getzville, NY, just outside of Buffalo. He currently resides in Greenwood, IN, a suburb of Indianapolis, with his wife, Courtney, his children Kendall and Owen, and their fur baby, Lucy. Another lovely puppy will arrive in April 2020, and her name is Luna.

Austin is an undergraduate student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he studies Sports Media and Communication. He has constantly been around the volleyball court throughout his life, continually learning new ways to watch the sport through coaches and peers. Breit is a very passionate volleyball nerd, both self-proclaimed and publicly declared by her friends and colleagues. Her mother started the volleyball program at Edgar High School in 1972. She grew up in the gym and became a high school standout. After living in Milwaukee 7 years and coaching in the area, Breit moved backed to central Wisconsin. She earned her Masters Degree in Sports Psychology and has a wealth of experience as a player, coach, and sport psychology consultant. Through her passion for the sport, she encourages young female athletes to push the limits and continue their playing careers past high school. Breit currently resides in central Wisconsin with her daughter.

Rachel has been an active part of the volleyball world for over 15 years: as a player, ref, coach, and now writer. She is a professional writer who is excited to jump into the world of sports writing. As both a high school (Brown Deer Varsity) and club coach (Midwest Penguins), she provides a unique, on-court perspective to volleyball in Wisconsin. I played college volleyball for two years before tearing my ACL. I started coaching at 22 for Team KC, North Stars, and Highlands Volleyball Club in Kansas City and coached for H2 volleyball Club in Saint Louis for seven years. Now I’m a high school official.

Emma Adams is a Portland, Oregon native, attending high school at St. Mary’s Academy and college at Portland State University. While she played volleyball competitively throughout high school and college, she found her passion in coaching. Vince Muscat has been a volleyball trainer and coach for the past 16 years at multiple levels. In 2016, his first year no longer coaching high school, he established The Michigan High School Volleyball Insider page. The page quickly become a hit with Michigan volleyball coaches, parents, and players. Vince is also the Club Director of Michigan Elite Volleyball Academy which is one of the largest and most competitive clubs in the country. He is going on his 7th year as Director at MI Elite and 10th year with the organization.

Jeremy Deckard brings an extensive background in education and sports to his scouting role at Prep Network. He has worked as a secondary school teacher, coach, sports writer, and professional trainer. A native of Kansas, Jeremy, has worked in multiple school buildings, gyms, and press boxes across the state in a variety of roles. He self-published a book, Capital City Cubbie: Tales and travels of Kansas Cubs Fan in 2012. During his years as a sportswriter he covered two National Championship Football Games, the 2014 ALCS, 2014 World Series, 2015 ALCS, and several Kansas State Basketball Tournaments and Championship Football games. Deckard has coached the following sports in Kansas public schools: football, volleyball, and basketball. He has a Master of Arts degree in History from Emporia State, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Pittsburg State University. Deckard was honored for his professional training and government work with Member of the Year Awards from the Olathe Human Relations Department and the Kansas Human Relations Association. He is married and lives in Topeka.

Jesse Etter grew up a multi-sport athlete in Spokane, Washington, falling in love with volleyball while watching his younger sister win State Player of the Year in 1999. A data cruncher with a passion for video and analytics, Jesse is dedicated to finding and covering athletes at all levels of high school and club volleyball in the state.

Erica has been coaching some level of volleyball for the past 16 years. She began in Gretna, NE and coached 7th grade, 9th grade, JV and was varsity assistant. She also began Youth League at Cross County and then it morphed into Crush Volleyball Club for 12’s and 14’s and she was the director for 3 years. She also coached a 10’s Team for Central Nebraska Juniors and served on the Central Nebraska Juniors Board out of Central City, NE. Now Erica chases her volleyball daughters and 4 year old son as her husband is the head football coach at Norris High School. Erica lives in Firth NE with her husband and three children.

Carsen Nies grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, where she started playing indoor and sand volleyball in 6th grade. Carsen played for several competitive clubs and for school teams throughout Arizona and Portland, Oregon, where she moved to in high school. Carsen was the MVP of her 1A league her junior year and made the first team every other year.
