Notes: Omaha Concordia proved in postseason play that they deserve the top two spots, respectively, in the final rankings. Grand Island Central Catholic rises to #3 despite not making the state tournament on the strength of its 3-2 loss to Malcolm – which was the best anyone has played against the Clippers all year – with the exception of Concordia’s win over them in the finals. Even though Bishop Neumann defeated Kearney Catholic in the third-place match, the Stars remain ahead of the Cavaliers. As noted above, Nebraska Prep Volleyball does not recognize the result of the third-place matches. Taking a senior-dominated Kearney Catholic team which had its string of four consecutive Class C1 titles snapped in the semifinals and making it play in a meaningless third-place match the following day is going to produce unconventional results. Third-place matches should be eliminated and Nebraska Prep Volleyball will continue to ignore the outcome of them as long as they remain in place.
