Campbell’s been a top-notch middle hitter for the Cardinals especially the last two seasons. Her role will increase this year as she’ll be deployed all over the court. She got ample preparation for it over the winter and spring playing with Northern Lights.
“This year was the first year I played the right front position so I had the chance to play all the way around,” Campbell said. “I got to play on the back row which I like a lot even though I don’t do it a ton. It was a great experience for me and I got a lot better. Playing on the right side, you go against a lot of other team’s top hitters. So it’s always exciting.”
Campbell’s been a dominant player at times for the Cardinals as a middle hitter but with strength of the team being their depth with frontline players, Campbell will be put in different spots this upcoming season and she’ll have to shoulder a big load.
Campbell recently committed to play volleyball at Bemidji State University.
“I really like the campus and Coach Ulmer,” Campbell said. “He’s a really cool guy. He can be kind of dorky at times but I’m kind of a dork at times too so we get along. I’m very excited.”
