A day after officially giving her verbal commitment to play volleyball at Nebraska, the 6’3 sophomore had 21 kills, 14 digs, three aces and two blocks to help lead Superior to a 25-11, 25-21, 18-25, 25-9 win over Fillmore Central in the Southern Nebraska Conference semifinals.
Nicki Kirchhoff added 11 kills and Teghan Sullivan had four aces and 15 assists for the Wildcats. Trisha Hayes had a team-high 21 digs and Megan Miller added 14 to go with 17 assists.
Halle Theis led Fillmore Central with 12 kills and two aces. Superior improved to 22-3 on the season while the loss dropped Fillmore Central to 13-10.
Sandy Creek also advanced to the SNC championship Tuesday night with a 19-25, 25-22, 28-26, 27-29, 15-11 win over Heartland in the other semifinal. Sandy Creek will play Superior in the championship match Thursday night.
Coree Lipovsky had 20 kills, six blocks, two aces and 16 digs for Sandy Creek while Kambria Chohon added 15 kills, three aces as 12 digs. Kenzie Turman had 36 assists and 20 digs for the Cougars while Jordan Woodbury had 17 digs and Daelene Hinirchs had eight digs and three aces.
Taylor Quiring had 22 kills and 11 digs for Heartland while Rhianna Wilhelm had a triple-double with 35 assists, 14 digs and 10 kills. Kyra Dick added nine kills and two blocks for the Huskies,
Sandy Creek improved to 14-8 with the win while Heartland dropped to 16-9.
Lincoln Southwest def. Lincoln Northeast 25-20, 25-10, 25-11
Jaden Ferguson had 15 kills and Hannah Kelle added nine to help lead Southwest to a sweep of the Rockets. Rachel Walker added 31 assists, six digs, three kills and three aces while Katie Siefkes had 11 digs.
Papillion-LaVista def. Omaha Westside 25-20, 25-23, 25-14
Sydney Fitzgibbons and Chloe Paschal each had 11 kills and Norah Sis added eight as the Monarchs swept Westside. Brooklyn Schram had 36 assists, Carly Lindenmeyer had 14 digs and Ally Glaser three aces for the Monarchs.
Kearney def. Columbus 25-21, 25-12, 25-9
Claire Vanderbeek led a balanced Kearney attack with 14 kills while Bailee Sterling added 12 and Dani Chally had 10 for the Bearcats in its sweep of Columbus. Adison Wood added five aces and 21 digs while Alexis Mishou had 37 assists and 13 digs. Addie Palser added 12 digs.
Papillion-LaVista South def. Omaha Burke 25-6, 25-14, 25-17
Seniors Taliyah Flores and Peyton Schendt had 14 and 13 kills, respectively, to lead the Titans in their sweep of Burke. Jessica Hendrix added seven kills and Madi Bollow had four aces. Mara LeGrand finished the match with 37 assists, 11 digs and two kills.
Millard North def. Millard South 25-15, 25-20, 25-17
Sophomore Eve Fountain had 15 kills and 17 digs while Paige Holdsworth added nine kills to lead Millard North past Millard South in three set. Megan Hanson added 13 digs and Emma Altman had 11 while Izzy Lukens finished with 36 assists.
Claire Larson led Millard South with 11 kills and 12 digs while Paige Fixemer had seven kills and two blocks. Lauren Walenz had a team-high 13 digs for the Patriots and Jaisee Stinson had 25 assists.
Lincoln Southeast def. Norfolk 25-14, 25-13, 25-19
Melanie Brecka had 15 kills, 10 digs and two aces and Cecily Liphardt added eight kills to ignite Southeast’s sweep of Norfolk. Maddie Renn finished with 18 digs and three aces for the Knights and Cassidy Plooster had 34 assists.
Taylor Stoltz led Norfolk with seven kills and Jordyn Thompson had 18 digs.
Wahoo def. Beatrice 25-14, 25-15, 25-12
Kyla Swanson and Elly Larson each had 11 kills while Elle Glock had eight and Maddie Larson seven to lead Wahoo to a sweep of Beatrice. Swanson also had nine blocks and Morgan Marotz had 12 digs and three aces. Kinsley Tingelhoff had 35 assists.
Devyn Burroughs led Beatrice with six kills while Hayley Sexton had 11 digs and Mackenzie Osborne had 12 assists.
Omaha Duchesne def. Gretna 28-26, 26-24, 25-21
Mayah Delgado, who missed a chunk of the season earlier this year with an abdominal strain, is back with a vengeance and her 16 kills, three aces and two blocks helped lead Duchesne to a tight sweep over Gretna. Juliana Kalil added 13 kills and Emma Worthington had 27 assists and nine kills for the Cardinals.
For Gretna, Lydia Yost had 11 kills and Kamryn Schuler added nine while Baylie Shearer had 25 assists.
Meridian def. Exeter-Milligan 25-20, 25-21, 25-13
Rylee Pieper had 12 kills and 18 digs to help lead Meridian to a sweep of Exeter-Milligan in the championship match of the Crossroad Conference Tournament. Halle Pribyl added eight kills and 29 digs for the Mustangs and Lauren DeLord added seven kills and 2 1/2 blocks. Jackie Sobotka and Erin Johnson each had 19 digs and Johnson added 27 assists as well.
