That would be because of the 10 players on the Nebraska Elite 181 squad this season, seven are from Omaha Marian, although two of them were not on the high school team.
So, while sometimes 18s teams can be hard to predict because of the shortness of the season and what can sometimes be a lack of focus because of senioritis, that won’t be the case this year for Nebraska Elite 181.
At setter, Nebraska Elite 181 has Kennedy Stromburg of Omaha Marian and Millard West setter Sydney Daniels, who can also be a defensive specialist. Also defensively, Nebraska Elite 181 has Omaha Marian’s Maggie Mullen, a Louisville recruit, at libero.
At the pins, Nebraska Elite 181 will have the Omaha Marian quartet of Emily Bressman, a Creighton recruit, Lauren Isenberg, Maddie Wiedenfeld, a New Hampshire recruit, and Kate Bilyeu, a UMass-Lowell recruit. Omaha North’s Kamryn Pullen can play at a pin or in the middle.
In the middle, Nebraska Elite 181 has Iowa recruit Sarah Wing of Omaha Marian and Omaha recruit Rylee Marshall of Fort Calhoun.
Members of the Nebraska Elite 182 team are McKenna Freeman, Olivia Galas, Ally Glaser, Julianna Kalil, Megan Kreps, Madison Lihs, Michaela Puck, Rosa Reed-Bouley, Madison Shoemaker and Brynn Stansberry.
