Performance VBC 18 NIKE, initially seeded 16th overall, and Nebraska Elite 182 Envy, which entered as the #21 overall seed, are each in the eight-team championship bracket on Sunday. The winner of the bracket earns the only bid to the USAV GJNC in the American division.
After going 2-1 on Friday, Performance 18 NIKE actually took over the top seed by going 3-0 today with a 19-25 25-9, 15-8 win over Team KC 181, a 26-24, 25-21 victory over Northern Lights 18 Black and a 25-18, 25-23 win over Premier 18 Black.
Nebraska Elite 182 Envy has not lost a match in the tournament, and swept Iowa Power Plex 18U 25-20, 25-23 and Iowa Rockets 25-23, 25-15 before taking a 25-19, 22-25, 15-8 win over PVA 18 Elite.
Performance 18 NIKE will take on Iowa Rockets 181 in a 10:30 a.m. quarterfinal match while Nebraska Elite 18 Envy faces Southland Aces 181 in its 10:30 a.m. quarterfinal.
Premier 18 Black and TeamMagic 181 are each playing in the Silver bracket on Sunday while Banzai 181 is in the Bronze bracket.
