On Nebraska Elite Lokahi 16’s a few of their players stood out the first game of the day. Middle Blocker/Right Side hitter Amelia Boone Amelia Boone 5'11" | MB Omaha Skutt Catholic | 2026 State NE put on a blocking clinic. She has such great body control up at the net and does a nice job of penetrating the net for roofs. Boone also can run the slide effectively and hit the down the line shot or a deep court cut shot. She is also effective with the 50/50 balls and over kills. Keep an eye on this rising player!
Cosette Bartling Cosette Bartling 5'10" | OH Elkhorn South | 2026 State NE also stood out for Elite’s 16 Lokahi team. The 5’10” outside has a fast arm swing and lots of power behind it. Her approach and transition give her a ton of power to crank it down the line or a cut shot between the blocks. She is so strong in quick transition, she can just step close for a kill. Really love her athleticism and power!
Middle Hitter Blair Boehlke Blair Boehlke 5'11" | MB Fremont | 2026 State NE also has a quick arm and fast approach. She is able to find the open court as well. One thing that stood out was her ability to track the pass to the setter to get in a good position to run the quick set. She too has a high ceiling the more reps she gets!
Reagan Walraff of 15 Premier Gold continues to impress after having a fantastic start to her prep career for Elkhorn North. She plays as a pin hitter for club after playing middle for Elkhorn North. She has such a fast arm swing and jumps so well. Super athletic, quick, springy and has long levers. She also has a great jump float serve.
Middle Blocker Lyric Judson Lyric Judson 5'10" | MB Papillion-La Vista South | 2027 NE of Premier Gold 15 is so athletic. She blocks well, she has a quick arm and can jump. Judson swings great from the back row and her team uses her quite a bit from back there. I love her ability to transition and hit from anywhere across the tape as well. She also has strong floor defense. Judson is so fun to watch! Definitely someone to keep on your radar!
Premier 15 Gold Libero Taylor McCleay is one of the area’s best liberos in 15’s . She has a lethal serve and does a great job of driving the float serve down. She also is so disciplined at keeping a platform to target. She is always in a ready position to dig as well and picks up a ton of balls in left back defense. Her stock continues to rise!
6′ 3” Middle Blocker Erin Cramer Erin Cramer 6'3" | MB Omaha Marian | 2027 NE out of Marian has really grown as a player this club season. She had 123 kills in her freshman campaign. She runs the slide well and finds the open floor. When running out of the middle she does a great job of dumping a deep ball to a corner or dropping a short tip behind the block. She sets the block well and does a nice job of being strong at the net. Her ceiling is high as she continues to improve and get more reps this club season.
That wraps up the standouts from the final weekend of Midwest Power League! So much talent in all age divisions again this year! Keep an eye on several of these teams at AAU’s in Florida in June or Nationals in July in Las Vegas!
